BvS Batman v Superman Moves To March 2016

There was no way WB and Disney would release tentpole movies on the same weekend.

Best move WB ever did, but I'm a bit surprised it's on Easter weekend (rather than April 1 or April 8). I notice WB planted flags for other dates too:

Untitled DC Film - 08/05/16

Untitled DC Film - 06/23/17

Untitled DC Film - 11/17/17

Untitled DC Film - 03/23/18

Untitled DC Film - 07/27/18

Untitled WB Event Film - 11/16/18

Untitled DC Film - 04/05/19

Untitled DC Film - 06/14/19

Untitled DC Film - 04/03/20

Untitled DC Film - 06/19/20

Untitled WB Event Film - 11/20/20

Smart decision from the underdogs.

woah

where did you see this

A month and a couple of weeks earlier? I'll happily take it.

Now, cue the detractors:

"LOL WB is scurrrred!"
"This movie is a bomb waiting to happen!"
"No plan!"
"Superman is a soulless, mass-murdering psychopath!"

Usually the first teaser is released a year before the movie's release. Now that BvS has a March release date, I wonder if there is a stronger possibility that the first teaser will be released with the Hobbit.

And it's all the more funny given that DC kinda had stolen that May 6th spot... So Cap 3 just gets their date back...

I'm too excited to be mad at that doe!!! :woot:

if the release date been move up.......could we see a teaser by end of this year?

Basically, this is taking the same spot as TWS. Might have been smarter to move it to July, but I am not going to complain about seeing the movie move back up.

The bigger news is being forgotten in all this. The DC movie slate has been revealed

The rest of the slate looks like this:

Untitled DC Film - 08/05/16

Untitled DC Film - 06/23/17

Untitled DC Film - 11/17/17

Untitled DC Film - 03/23/18

Untitled DC Film - 07/27/18

Untitled WB Event Film - 11/16/18

Untitled DC Film - 04/05/19

Untitled DC Film - 06/14/19

Untitled DC Film - 04/03/20

Untitled DC Film - 06/19/20

Untitled WB Event Film - 11/20/20

I meant no ill will, i'm just saying despite people suggesting Batman and Superman in a movie together = gazillion oscar nominations and box office record breakthrus, the Marvel studio has more brand recognition.

Again. rolls eyes! :whatever:

:oldrazz:

all those Untitled DC Films, so many.... I think I'm getting dizzy

Easter Weekend huh?

Won't that really effect the box-office.

I'm not religious, but don't people do things that aren't movies?

:hmm That's true, but no harm in celebrating Easter by watching a movie like this on Easter either! :woot:

No plan! WB doesn't care about its DC properties!

March isn't exactly where you release your big event movies... but I guess Alice In Wonderland didn't do too bad.

It still feels weird releasing one of 2016's biggest summer movies in March.

I dont believe that slate for a second.

It kind of makes it its' own mini event.

There is Batman vs. Superman , THEN the summer season.
