The Dark Knight Batman VS Joker: The final Battle

No, didn't Rachel explain to Bruce at the end of Begins that they couldn't be together?

I never really watch the end of Begins, I just cut the movie off at that point or skip past it. I've only actually watched the ending of Begins twice & I don't really remember anything but the kiss they shared, I don't remember what they said exactly.

I know, that's why I skip past the part with Bruce & Rachel, so I can see that part. It got me amped up for the next Batman movie.

Conversely, sometimes I just skip the first part of Begins and get straight to Bruce's return to Gotham.

to be totally honest? meto, i mean bruces origin is great, i love it. but sometimes i just want me some batman!

I've been putting Batman Begins into my PS3 for almost two weeks while I sleep at night. Sometimes I'll just watch all of the scenes with Bruce training or with him as Batman. When I get TDK DVD, I'll more than likely keep watching every single scene with the Joker over & over.

Final battle?

Alright then lets assume that Harvey after the scaring went into hiding so the mob wouldn't find him. His only outside contact would be Rachel Dawes who has a romantic relationship with Harvey. Rachel is worried about Harv, so she asks Gordon and a few cops she trusts to find him. Unfortunately we know how great Gotham PD is and it leaks to the mob who wants to finish the job with Harvey. Harvey is mentally hanging on by a thread in solitude when some hitman try to do him in. Naturally Harvey gets the jump on them first and kills them. That is when he finally splits and his alter ego Two-face takes hold. He knows that Rachel must have told somebody and goes to confront her.

INT- Rachel's Apartment - night
Rachel's room is neat and quite simple, rain is heard beating against the window outside. Her room is dark with the light from the outside illuminating her room. Keys are heard unlocking the door and Rachel enters her room. She is tired and soaked, and turns on the light. She is startled as she sees a wounded Harvey sitting in a corner of her room flipping a coin. A small table sits besides him and a small revolver and phone upon it.

Rachel - Harvey what happened?!

Rachel goes to Harvey's side to aid him

Harvey - Don't touch me!

Rachel - Why? Whats wrong?

Harvey - Cut the bull****, I know you work for Maroni.

Rachel - Harvey what are you talking about?

Harvey - His hitmen came for me, they knew where I was. Care to explain?

Rachel - Harvey I have no idea how they knew where you were!

Harvey - YOU'RE A LIAR!

Harvey pounds the table with his fist.

Harvey - I never figured Maroni would have had you under his thumb! How long? The whole time?!

Rachel stares at him

Rachel - Harvey you know me, you know I didn't do anything like that. Do you honestly think I would hurt you?! Do you think I am just another corrupted citizen in a broken city?!

Harvey glares at her. He flips his coin and places it on the table with his hand covering it.

Harvey - We shall have fate decide..

Rachel - Harvey stop this! You are not thinking with reason! I know you care for me and would never harm me or anyone. You love this city, I believe in you Harvey.

Harvey stares at her reflecting on what she just said. He takes a deep breath then in one fell swoop he grabs his gun and shoots Rachel. He looks at his coin which is a scarred head. He heads for the door turning off the lights. His silhouette is seen caused by the lights of the hallway. He looks back.

Harvey - I believed in Harvey Dent too.

Harvey slams the door CUT TO: credits or whatever
Nice

It'd be pretty damn messed up for Harvey to finish off Rachel but hey, it'd make for a hell of a scene as well.

Thats madness! Im not sure exactly what they said but I remember rachel said, "and then I found out about your mask." Bruce replies, "my mask is just a symbol, rachel. She responds with her hand on his cheek, "No, this is your mask."

It's not madness, I kind of found the scene boring after seeing them kiss, that's all I wanted to know anyway.

I couldnt fast foward through any part in BB, it would just bug me if I did

And joker actually says, "Whatever doesnt kill you... simply makes you stranger." Just sayin'

That isn't the final battle, that's the battle in the second act after the monster chase scene.

The chase scene (for whatever reason) occurs, apparently Nolan's attempt to create the greatest chase in movie history. The truck flips, Joker gets out and walks through the streets while Batman approaches with the BatPod, battle occurs, Joker gets jailed, Joker escapes, queue huge mystery for third act (outside of the boats thing).

I know what he says but that's not what I wanted in my signature.

about Dawes, isn't it already common knowledge that she's killed by The Joker?

No, it hasn't been confirmed. So far, it's just an out-of-hand rumor.

ah I see.

the way i've always looked at the love-interest angle for the new franchise was that there shouldn't be one, make it all about Bruce and Batman with no other side distractions.

but apparently WB really pushed this on Nolan and he was effectively forced to have Holmes in Begins. he was allowed free rein on most other aspects of Begins so he had to accept this one demand from WB, and we just had to put up with her.

i'm somewhat disappointed that she didn't return for TDK, as i don't like the mess up in continuity between Begins and TDK, plus i think Maggie is not good looking at all (my opinion, i just see Jake with longer hair everytime i see her face) and Bale and her don't go together as a nice couple, whereas at least Katie looked cute even though she can't act.

I'd rather they got her back and have Joker kill her off near the beginning of TDK to give Bruce extra personal interest/motivation in catching The Joker.

I actually liked that scene between Bruce and Rachel at the end of Begins where he's nailing the planks of wood over the entrance to the cave, I thought it was good acting from them both. she was just very poor in the rest of the movie, then Cruise hypnotised her and she went all weird.

I thought the love scene between Bruce and Rachel at the end of Begins came completely out of left field. They never showed the remotest bit of romantic interest in eachother all thru the movie.

It seemed to be a friendship relationship. That's all.

They hardly look related, I dont see it at all.

Yeah, that is kind of true. It doesn't seem like Nolan wanted them to be together in that way. Hopefully Bruce does get a lover soon. :hehe:

I loved the fights in Begins but I'm just saying that I agree with you, I want to be able to see every single thing that goes on in the action scenes. Begins was a great start though, the best Batman origins movie to date.

Hay I liked the way the fight scenes were shot. I think Noland said the whole point for the editing and the closeness was to make you feel like you were in a real fight...in a real fight everything goes, everything is fast and you often do not see what if coming to hit you.
