The Dark Knight Rises Batman's New Ride (Batmobile) In The Third Film

And who says the tumbler is gonna blow up!???... If so, he'll just have Lucius Fox build another one!

I though that was the whole point behind the bat-pod?

So, you honestly thought Batman was going to ride the Batpod for the whole third movie?

Ohhhhh, man. I'm sorry. I forgot that you created and wrote Batman Begins and know all the questions and ideas regarding this topic and all SHH Batman topics.

In my opinion: I really don't think they had multiple Tumblers in that Wayne Tower basement. If you noticed there was only one down there and it was covered in a sheet. Also, notice that the suit Bruce selected was not a jet black color, but more of a dull, almost grey suit. What did he do? He sprayed it black.

Therefore (in my opinion), I believe he had the Tumbler sprayed black. Some how, some where.

If there were more than one Tumblers, Bats would just grab the other one in TDK.

- thanks for being an ass. :yay:

I don't think there was only one tumbler. If you listen to Fox he says "two of these would jump over a river towing cables...we couldn't get the damn bridge to work but this baby works just fine."

This presupposes that they had at least 2 tumblers which they were using to try and construct their bridge albeit unsuccessfully.

Bale mentioned the "car" evolves in an interview.

He's either referring to the Batpod or a new version of the Tumbler.

In my opinion, aside from escalation, evolution will be a prominent theme in TDK.

New batsuit. New batmobile. New batcave.

I think Nolan deliberately made the first batsuit look mismatched and thrown together for a reason.

Yo, I think the same. Also Batman evolves. Like in BB when he wore a suit with some ski mask menacing Gordon in the PD. That's the cool thing with the same team and director over some movies- continuity.

A sleeker, new tumbler model would be boss.

Also, Socko, you're one funny mother ****er.

[edit] i should have waited to have seen the second page before i decided to address this...

but it still brings to mind: if there is in fact a second tumbler, not yet spray painted or whatever, why the batpod in the dark knight? why not just grab the other one?

He could just build another tumbler and use the batpod too you know.

Isn't it a bit early for this thread?

Anyway, I like the tank look of the Tumbler a lot so I hope they don't completely get rid of that.

By the third film, I predict he'll be driving an actual CAR, more of a sports car, like Batman '89.

I dont know about a new tumbler but if the Bat-Pod ever blows up...................................................:woot:

I don't understand why people want a more sporty, penis-looking batmobile! Let me paraphrase Nolan here: Back in the 30's and into the 60's cars never looked like how the batmobile was represented; It was sleek, had fins, and looked down right unusual. That sleek look was great for that time. The batmobile was always meant to be this unusual, scary looking, but still cool machine. However, in todays world, a sporty, sleek car isn't unique; every damn car today is sporty and sleek! So, to make the batmobile extraordinary in today's terms (2007) it makes sense that the batmobile would be a military prototype, and adopt a more juggernaut, armored look. Hint, hint: all batman's gear, including the costume, is connected to military prototypes. Nolan is a man with brains. He's logical...so sit back and relax-and let the man do his job.

obviously, lucius fox didn't build the tumbler with his own two hands. he didn't actually build anything. wayne enterprises had teams of scientists who worked on various military technology (and maybe they still have teams developing things) and most of the stuff found in that basement are things that never worked out because they either weren't practical or they weren't cost effective. fox is a smart man who understands the technology, but he didn't personally develop any of it, to the best of my knowledge. that being said, i wonder what else is lying around waiting to be used by the batman.

Doubtful. Using a batmobile more like the classic one would be looked at as a downgrade. The tumbler can cause destructive damage, plunder, pillage, and straight f*** up other cars by running them over.

Why go from that to a small one that wouldn't be as capable?
