BvS Batman's Voice Thread

IMO, he has a voice modulator built in for both suits (and not just the armor suit seen at the end of the teaser).

I want this for two reasons: I'm on board with Affleck as Batman by way of looks. Hands down his the most imposing ever. But Going by DD, which is all we have and is pretty good evidence, I don't want to hear a Ben bat voice without a modulator.

I'd rather he just not try and change his voice or use a modulator as part of the batsuit.

The way Nolan amplified Bale's voice for TDK and R in post was annoying to me since Bale's bat voice was just fine in BB. We already buy that a billionaire can have a batmobile and batwing so why not just intentionally have a voice modulator in the suit tech?

I don't like the modulator idea. Changing his voice on his own should be the only option. Bale's impression in BB was perfect because he wasn't using a mod to change his voice. Besides, think of a scenario where he has to talk to members of the JL while civilians are present, it would sound stupid with a mod.

We also have his Wayne voice from the trailer and it's more than convincing that he can do a good bat voice.

And DD was more than ten years ago. Voices change over time.

I'm not expecting Affleck's voice to be as harsh as Bale's, but I do see it being disguised somewhat.

All he needs to do is deepen it a bit, no need to put some gravel in there at all. Ben has a relatively high voice to start with so it seems easy for him.

Agreed. Again, what I like about the "do you bleed" line is that his voice sounds deeper, with added bass. It kinda reminds me of Peter Weller's Batman from animated TDKR, especially how he says "bleed".

I do not like the mechanical sound he has in mech-suit though. Or, I wouldn't like it for his regular suit, in mech-suit it's fine.

So deeper and less harsh and growly would be what I'd like his voice to sound like.

The voice for "How many stayed that way?" is relatively deep. Who knows how much deeper the Batvoice is :sly:

What I noticed when watching "Gone Girl" is that his voice is a bit deeper than what it used to be.

He could sound like Gilbert Godfrey and it would be better than the Bale voice.
In all seriousness how he speaks in the trailer sounds good but I don't know of that is in or out of costume. I am not against a voice modulator because I saw it done so well on Smallville.

For Arrow? I thought it was done so laughably bad. I yearn for the days where Batman just naturally sounded intimidating.

I'm still convinced that the "Alien" line in teaser was his voice. And if so, I don't mind it.. Now yes I'd like something more akin to the Batman that we all want(Or most of us) ALA A Conroy/greenwood esque voice but, i wouldn't be unhappy with this voice. It sounds like a better version of bale's begins voice. There seems to be in just that one word that we heard, more diction than most of Bale's batman monologues. Honestly though, I'd even be fine with a not as deep but still authoritative voice like Rino had. Then again I was one of the few that liked him.

Whatever point you're trying to make, there was no need to take your shirt off. :o

Ah, I see. As much as I'd like to hear Batman speak in next trailer, I think I want to hear Supes or Wondy even more. Though, the latter is definitely not happening.

I'm still not convinced that the modulated voice heard in the teaser, is actually in the movie. Just because it's in the trailer doesn't mean that it's in the final cut. I personally think they are doing all they can to hide his Batman voice as close to the premiere as possible. WB is fully aware of how important Batman's voice is to the fans and they know that, for the most part, fans were unhappy with how Bale's Batman voice turned out. I'm not saying that I'm against the modulator, but I would prefer an intimidating, natural voice. I mean, we heard Bruce Wayne in the second trailer, but that doesn't necessarily mean that will be his Batman voice. At any rate, we will know soon enough.

I'm currently expecting a modulated voice for the mech suit, but a more Keaton-esque voice for normal Batman.
