Isn't escalation one of the themes of these films? Wayne chose these equipment to fight criminals, not the army. We didn't see anyone running around with rocket launchers in the first film. The Joker will force him to raise his game again (I assume in the third movie) with a better Batmobile. Or so I theorize.

Of course; the Joker blows up the Tumbler.

And this movie, I think, will primarily focus on Batman's troubles with an anarchist psycho. He's still relatively new at the game, and that makes it even harder for him to beat the Joker, who has absolutely no guidelines to killing.

Whoa, this thread is ancient. I can say for sure that the Tumbler gets blown up, I seen it with me own eyes. If Miranda was around she could back me up. I can't say if it was by Joker or not. From the looks of it, it may have been random gangsters in a black suv.

I think it's cool that in the trailer shot where the Joker fires the RPG, it looks as if he's blowing up one of the Chechen gang member's cars in the parking garage (although this could've simply been edited this way in the trailer to make it appear that there's a connection.)

I dont think that`ll happen at all...think stupid of me for saying that but I think maybe he needs the batpod for smaller entry in certain places. We see him going through tiny alleyways in the trailer. The joker is a hard man to find...makes sense to me

But those pics from the gallery/trailer weren't of the tumbler - that was the helicopter they were lugging around downtown when they flipped the trailer truck.
