If that's the case then practically every discussion here arguing things to and forth is pointless.

I don't like it personally, more what it represents more than anything. Sure they'll always be the toys and whatnot but this was a different take on Batman and I had thought it one without 'Bat' in front of everything.

Agreed. Considering the batmobile was called "The Tumbler" in BB having the word bat in "Bat Pod" is an improvement.

Besides once it's on screen not many people are going to care what it's called.

Agreed the purpose is more important, the Tumbler is like a fat man. Can't fit through narrow gaps. The Batpod or whatever allows Batman to, as in the first trailer, smash through narrow doors and take tight corners.

I could almost see Alfred refering to things BAT in an almost sarcastic way that ends up sticking.Ya know?

I think it's ho-hum, personally... they could've come up with a better one, as other people have already mentioned...

Not necessarily. I just think it would be hard to justify Bruce calling everything "bat"-something without sounding campy.

Personally, I think the name is okay I don't really mind it.

AHh, come on guys, this debate is getting as silly as the perma-white's debate...I mean, Batpod really fit IMO. And maybe the media in the movie will call it the Batpod, and then Alfred and Bruce will take this name...I mean other than Bruce, Alfred and Lucious, who else knows the name of the Tumbler is actually the 'Tumbler'?? Everybody just call it the Batmobile. I'm sure there will be an explanation about this name in TDK, anyway.

Maybe Alfred was being somewhat humourus with Bruce, he has been before dropping sarcastic phrases here and there. Maybe Bruce wouldnt call it that but Alf uses the term lightly/jokingly/even harmless mocking?
