The Dark Knight Batpod Scene

I'm probably assuming the whole Tumbler/Batpod sequence occurred really in the late hours since you don't see people on the streets during the truck flip and Batman just thought all those cars he was blasting were empty.

But that was a close call with those kids, what the hell were they doing alone in a car?

In both instances when I saw the film, people were blown away by the entire Batpod scene. However, the part that got the most reaction and "HELL YEAHS!" was when Gordon came back from the dead.

I think I heard him say "nice coat" as the homeless man burned in that dumpster.

Same here, at all 3 of the times I saw, the audience went nuts for these 2 parts.:brucebat:

Yeah when I saw that I almost choked on my popcorn cause it was so cheesy/unrealistic/stupid :whatever::o That was just totally un-needed

How exactly is it unrealistic if the batpod can actually do that in real life?

The Batpod CANNOT do the wall spin and the ejection. That's simply BS. It was fairly obvious CG.

WHat I wonder about is, as Lucius Foxx never explained that the Tumbler can separate into the batpod in Batman Begins, does that mean Batman modified the Tumbler/Batmobile to be capable of this?

Hmmm...I seem to recall a set report of something like it. Perhaps I'm mistaken. If so, my bad Conebone. Anyone else remember a report of it or am I just confused? LOL :woot:

And I'm not saying that it wasn't CGI, but there are definitely ways to pull off that move without CGI.

I'm sure there would be a way to pull that stuff off. But trust me. A friend of mine works for Dreamworks animation and he and all his coworkers laughed at that moment. They thought it was bad.

Alright. I'm glad I don't work for Dreamworks animation cause I'd probably be outcasted for liking that moment. :woot:

That scene was sooooo awesome
no complaints about it

They definitely showed that Batman/Bruce really needs to learn some damage control...he tore up the highway in Begins and wrecked a lot of stuff in TDK...hopefully in the next movie there will be some playful moments where he's trying to learn not disrupt the peace and get lost in the adrenaline and learn to keep damage at an absolute minimum. Maybe alfred gives him a lecture :)

The Batpod scene rocked. The only bad thing about it is that The Tumbler had to be destroyed. :csad:

How can you not like that scene?!?!??!?! Seriously!!! It does not look fake!! The crowd reactions all the four times ive seen that where like--DAMN! WOW! COOL! WOOT! lol
The batpod was frickin cool. Sorry but im young at heart and am not all nit picky when it comes to spotting CGI. That part was bada**.
Seriously though---someone explain how that can't happen im intrigued to find the truth now :oldrazz:

oh and when he flips the 18wheeler--WOOHOO! that part was bad a** too :D

I miss the tumbler!! :csad: I want one :csad:
heheh the part at the beginning---INTIMIDATE hehehe that'd be so much fun!!!!:oldrazz:

I loved that part, as I loved everyone of Christian Bale's scenes, both as Bruce Wayne and Batman. I thought he was a lot more comfortable and ironic as Wayne, while he really kicked ass when he had the suit on. Batman was a lot more violent, and I would've never though I'd like his fight scenes so much. The Batpod kicked ass and that scene... WOW! It was cool.

I KNOW! I was so happy that they showed him fighting more!! In BB his fight scenes where more of a blur--but in TDK he was kicking a**!!! :D
The Keysi fighting method they used was pretty awesome:oldrazz:

Yeah, the moves were so awesome. In the parking garage scene I was like WTF when he started punching for the first time. I really "didn't expect" something like that after the fights in Batman Begins, which I didn't find bad. I respected the choice made. But THIS, holy ****!

Yea i liked the fight scenes in BB too--they established him as being a "shadow" and the "night". The fact that he was so fast and hidden is what made the bad guys fear him and still fear him!! :D

But like you in TDK i was like OH DANG!! Some UFC stuff going on here!! :oldrazz:

Yeah, that was really awesome. And the action scenes were damn original and well-thought out. I mean, I bet another director would've just brought us the same ol' "Hero vs. villain" fight, but there's a lot more in The Dark Knight. Like the hostages and goons being switched in the showdown with Joker, and Batman fighting the SWAT. It's really one of those rare "thinking man's" action movies, on par with Die Hard and Terminator 2, which are masterpieces of the genre to me.

I've seen it twice.. the batpod flipping off the wall got cheers from the theater both times. And I thought it was quite awesome, personally. It's not like it's the same as the batmobile driving up a wall. :o
