A while back there was a similar thread made for The Dark Knight where you could write a fan scene that you would like to see included in the next Batman film. I thought that thread was a ton of fun, and since The Dark Knight is now out in theaters, speculation has begun about the third Nolan film. I thought it would be fun to start a similar thread, but this time writing scenes for The Dark Knight sequel, and since no villain has officially been announced, and neither has the film, you are free to write the scene based around any villain or scenario. In order to show what I'm talking about, I'll start with a scene I just quickly came up with.
EXT. APARTMENT COMPLEX - NIGHT
COP CARS are swarming around the rundown apartment complex. The complex is cut off with POLICE TAPE. Surrounding the crime scene is a swarm of cops, some actually doing some investigating, others chatting up gawking civilians on the sidewalk. A CAR rolls up on the street in front of the complex. Out of the car emerges a middle-aged man, hair graying, with a thick mustache and horn-rimmed glasses, this man is no other than COMMISSIONER GORDON. Gordon looks the building up-and-down.

VOICE
(Off-screen)
Hey Commish!
(Off-screen)
Hey Commish!
Gordon wheels around to see the source of the voice, an overweight man with unkempt black hair, pinned beneath a battered gray fedora; this man is DETECTIVE HARVEY BULLOCK.
Bullock approaches Gordon's side.

GORDON
(With disdain)
Evening Bullock! What's the situation?
BULLOCK
Two men stabbed to death, both employees of Wayne Enterprises. They were found by their landlord, who claims that he heard shouts emitting from the apartment late at night. He went to their door to shut them up, but when no one answered he forced his way in, and that's when he found them, along with THIS. It looks as if it's the same weirdo as before.

Bullock hands Gordon a BLOOD STAINED PIECE of PAPER inside an EVIDENCE BAG. Gordon surveys the page to find scribbled upon it the writing, " A FOX treads upon a delicate magnolia. A simple boy, CRUSHED, grows to become a hunter. Amidst the forest the FOX runs, but nowhere can the PRAY hide." .
GORDON
Is the landlord still in custody?
BULLOCK
What type of cop do ya think I am commish?

Gordon gives him a scathing look.
BULLOCK (cont.)
Don't answer that.
GORDON
Take the landlord back to MCU for further questioning.
BULLOCK
Be my pleasure!

Bullock begins to strut off towards the commotion in front of the apartment complex.
GORDON
(After Bullock)
But there is to be no interrogation till I arrive, ya understand Bullock?

Bullock turns and looks at Gordon indifferently, and swats his arm at thin air.
GORDON (cont.)
I mean it!
I mean it!
Gordon, with the page encased in the evidence bag still clutched firmly in his hand, walks off towards.....
EXT. ALLEY - NIGHT
an alley on the side opposite the apartment complex. Gordon pauses underneath a FIRE ESCAPE.

You know these rendezvous used to be a heck of a lot easier.

A FIGURE, cloaked in shadow, shuffles along the fire escape above Gordon. A brief flash of light, from a car driving by on the adjacent road, reveals the figure to be the BATMAN.
BATMAN
Is it him?
GORDON
Seems to be. He left another clue, but it's gibberish, just like the others.

Gordon slips the piece of paper through the grates of the fire escape. Batman scoops up the page and begins to scan it.

I tell ya, a sociopath who deals through riddles is almost as bad as one who blatantly tells ya his next move. It's almost as if he wants to get caught, but knows that he wont. What can you make of it?
BATMAN
Seems to be the same as the last. Looks to be another threat on Lucius Fox's life.
GORDON
Did ya check the Wayne Enterprises databases for any recently laid off workers who may have felt they were wronged in any way?
BATMAN
Wayne and Fox both recently laid off countless workers as a result of the drop in the stock market. The list was many, each as unlikely as the next.
GORDON
So who could this Riddler be?
BATMAN
As I said, the list of suspects goes on.
GORDON
Do ya still think it's a former Wayne employee?
BATMAN
Possibly, but it-
GORDON
What is it?
BATMAN
This riddle. The words "PRAY" and "CRUSHED", they're both in complete capitalization, just like the word "FOX". It's as if he is drawing emphasis to these three words. Fox obviously means Lucius, but the words crushed and pray, they must relate in some way to how and where he plans to attempt and murder Fox. Crushed is simple, but pray, it is used within the sentence as in a hunter hunting his prey, but is spelt with an 'A' instead of an 'E', so that makes it pray like a prayer.
GORDON
So what's it mean?
BATMAN
It means that the Riddler has just told us where he plans to kill Lucius.

Batman slips the piece of paper back down through the bottom of the fire escape to Gordon.

Notice the word "magnolia", it's underlined. The Riddler is referring to the St. John's Cathedral on Magnolia Avenue.
GORDON
What?
BATMAN
That's where the wake for Reese is being held, this very evening! A man like Lucius wouldn't miss an employee's wake.
GORDON
Wait!!!

Everyone to your cars! We know exactly where the Riddler is going to strike next, details on the way! Turn your radios to channel five and follow me.

All of the cops begin to shuffle around the scene, all except Bullock, who is still chatting up the woman.
Gordon hops in his car and drives off. The rest of the cops, including Bullock, follow suit and drive off after Gordon.
GORDON (cont.)
Bullock now!!!
BULLOCK
Sure thing commish! (To the other cops, halfway to their cars.) You heard him you scumbags! To your cars!
