I knew he was working on this! He was in Austin during every interview he had about the Titan submersible.
Yeah i'd love a sequel. But I just can't see them doing it. Only 400 mill on an almost 200 mill budget? And the movie came out 4 years ago. And this is a 20th/Disney property and they're not exactly desperate for franchises...
But I'd be there opening weekend if/when they do
I hope they pack a better story and side characters in the sequels. First one was really lacking in that area.
What about “Alita”? That’s the one everybody makes noise about online.
Yeah, Jim and I always talk about how we’d love to do another “Alita.” That studio [20th Century] was bought by another studio [Disney]. They’re starting to make movies now. But that for a while 20th Century wasn’t making any of their movies. I think now you’re seeing a few rolling out. We would love to.
Make of it what you will.“Robert Rodriguez and I have sworn a blood oath to do at least one more Alita movie. In fact, we’re thinking of an architecture that bridges to a third film, but we’ll be satisfied if we can make one more. And we’re making progress on that.”
I’ll believe it once the first teaser trailer is released online.![]()

Really? Out of all movies, that's the one that "deserves" a sequel the most?Oh man if there is 1 movie that deserves a sequel it's Alita. Love the first movie I watch it at least once a year. There is just so much more they to show us.
