well let's see, Padme on one hand had to rely on decoys to protect herself and lost the will to live despite having just dumped 2 perfectly healthy reasons to do so. And that's only because she had her heart broken by the biggest emo Jedi ever.

on the other hand you've got Leia, who takes charge of her own rescue by blasting the hell out of stormtroopers and stands up to the baddest Sith Lord ever (hard to believe he used to be the emo kid). she handles being tortured like it was nothing and had a will strong enough to just brush off being a hutt's slave girl and not be scarred by the experience.

No contest, Leia wins!

This would be such an easy decision if any other actress had played Padme. Drifting towards Leia at this point...............

Yeah, it's probably because Star Wars, the original trilogy came out a long time ago and Leia looked and acted more mature than Padme, at least in my view.

I think it also might be because Portman is still looking (relatively) the same way she did in the movies while we obviously saw the older, wrinklier Fisher.

I see two ways this can play out. the first is a battle of words as the two of them try to settle it in the senate:

StarWarsAgent: "as senator of Lucasart, I have the power to supply troops to Senator Amidala of the Naboo for her efforts against the trade federation. In return, I demand nothing less than 6 sniffs of her fresh hair per day and the occasional chance to get to second base."

Padme Looks at SWA in disgust, quickly whips out a gun and pulls the trigger frantically...

Padme: "AGRESSIVE NEGOCIATIONS!!! AGRESSIVE NEGOCIATIONS!!!"



The second way is more straightforward.

After a long evening of stalking and hair sniffing, Padme has had enough and turns around to face SWA...

Padme: "Will you get the **** out of here! God dammit, you're even more emo than Anie!"

Leia back in teh gold bikini days ofcourse. But none the less Princess Leia for she was much taugher then her mother was. I mean she withstood tortur from her own father. When she learned he was her father she coped and moved on and did not let it effect the mission.

Wormy T's contribution sounds like a vote for Leia but does not meet the stringent clarity requirements which are enforced on a random basis here. I shall therefore need confirmation before counting it in the totals.

As far as I can see, and echoed in many of your ramblings above, Leia would take the "Last Man Standing" title but Padme would be the victor in any Hotties thong contest.

With my vote for Leia, I estimate the overall score to be in the region of 9-6 to Leia so far. I will be taking this one down in the next few hours and declaring a winner so it's time for any last minute voters to make themselves known.
