Augh that looks SO amazing. I was always horrible at flying helicopters in BF:BC so I'll probably end up marveling the jets from afar haha!

I was always better at flying the planes in BF1943 than I was at flying helo's in BC2. I'm hoping I'll be just as good here.

The fighting for planes is going to be hilarious just you watch.

For anyone that played Battlefield 2 on the PC during its prime knows how much of a cluster$%^# it is to try and get a jet.

Well it was a cluster f**k trying to get in planes in BF1943. And i KNOW people will start killing others for a spot. I can already call it, its going to be a nightmare.

Beta tomorrow! :yay:

I'm excited to try this out, my interest has waned a bit the last few months, hopefully playing it will bring me back.

It should. If you enjoyed BC2 in the slightest you'll be all over this. The only negative is that there are no vehicles on the map.

Eh. Still havent seen any thing thatd make me buy this. Looks like Bad company 2 with amazing lighting.

Been playing the BETA on Live since yesterday and coming from someone who's spent many sleepless nights on both Bad Company games online, it's a lot of fun. It's only one map and it's Rush, but the map is HUGE. You start off in a wide open park, then you go underground into a subway system and then you take it to the city streets. No vehicles, all infantry focused.

Graphically, I'm not going to kid myself, it's what I'd expect from a console version but I'm sure the final build is going to look just fine. Hell, the file was only around 1.3 GB. I'm humble, and if I had the cash laying around I'd totally invest into a gaming PC but alas.

I've only ran into a few bugs, one being I couldn't aim down the sights of my rifle without switching back to my side arm. The other was a bizarre glitch where the colors of the pause screen bled into the in-game screen (which can be fixed by just pausing again) and lastly, just some minor audio bugs where it sounds extremely faded. But then again, I may just need to monkey around with my audio settings.

So far I'm building up my assault class and just unlocked the tactical light. Nothing beats blinding people before you unload three rounds into them. :awesome:

Proning is also very nice, but take caution, the bush Wookies are still there. I wish I could figure out how to successfully counter a knife kill though.

Overall, I'm pleased. Would have loved to have a map vehicle oriented but this just warrants my desire to purchase this later next month.

Its pretty much the exact same game as BC2. Altho it looks better and the detail is better and believe it or not the sound is better. If you were comfortable with BC2, you'll pick this up no problem. They didn't have to improve much considering BC2 was the best shooter on the market last year. BF3 will be the same.

Yea i agree with you. Although the game looks better than BC2 and i never had any complaints with BC2's visuals, so I'm fine with that.

Iv come across the same bugs you have. Hopefully they'll iron that out before launch.

I can't wait to see some of the other maps this game is going to offer.

Guess that answers that.

I don't understand why they haven't come up with something to prevent that.

i follow one of the devs on twitter and he said both the xbox and ps3 final version of the game will look "far better"

It seems like something rather obvious and probably easily sorted with server rules. Like 1 go every 20 minutes or something, problem solved.

Yea i agree. That way the suck ass pilots who are instantly downed can't rush right back to the vehicle only to be killed again.

I still stand by my tutorial option. You should be forced to take, and pass with a high level of success, some kind of jet/helo tutorial before you can use them online.

I mean i couldn't blame everyone in BC2. Really the only way to learn to fly was to actually do it online. There has to be a tutorial, or at least make you do it in the campaign.

I hope I'll be able to download the beta. My account is a "child" account. I can play & download DLC for M rated games, but I can't play their demos. -__-

I sorta wish there was a code system like with the Gears 3 beta, I was able to get into that.

I just did not like how bad company 2 felt. Felt very clunky when I played plus I hate vehicle combat except halo. The lighting though is astonishingly great and I'll rent it for the sniping which is really fun

as someone who loved BF2 i honestly did not like BC or BC2...I actually moved to CoD4 during that time. MW2 has some dumb issues but playing the Beta so far has been underwhelming. If MW3 plays like an enhanced version of MW2 i think im going to end up liking MW3 over BF3.

-the recoil on all of the guns are nasty even with heavy barrels and foregrip.

-camping is so much easier.

-guess noob tubing isnt limited to CoD

-a lot of the complaints ive heard over the years about MW and MW2 came up here as well.

I am by no means a CoD fanboy but honestly i am disappointed by what ive played so far. maybe itll be funner tomorrow when my friends will all join in...but as it is BF2 is still my favorite.

Where do we find it on the Marketplace ? It does not seem to be in any of the usual places on the Marketplace
