ah, this one has been debated ever since i was in grade school. should be fun. lol.

Wolverine.

Wolverine can withstand the raw power of Phoenix, who could rip atoms apart. I think he could withstand a Cyclops optic blast. Cyclops on the other hand could not withstand a Wolverine slash.

Take a look at X2. Cyclops blasted Deathsrtike, but it didn't take her down for long. Then she knocked him out cold. I see no reason why Wolverine couldn't do the same.

yeah, i think so too. cyclops can take people out if he wants to, but he controls his blasts. wolverine would have to get in close, but cyke can also handle himself at close range too.

it would be a good fight for sure!

ooooooooooo, this would be a tough match. Cyke serious has some seriously dangerous fire power, but the problem is that Wolverine can heal.
........ as much as I hate to pick between the two, I would think Wolverine would win it...... but it would be TERRIBLY close i think. It's just the fact that Cyke can't heal is what makes me think Wolvy would win.

This is tough. Im going to say Wolverine based on the fact that he can heal himself. Plus he has the agility and hightened senses... plus the claws.

Though if Cyke were to blast him would he ba able to heal fast enough to survive?

^ Phoenix could rip people apart atom by atom, in an instant, and Wolverine could withstand that. I think he can withstand a Cyclops blast in the movie verse.

I completely agree. Plus, if Wolverine got one good swipe at Cyke's throat...... well, Cyke can't heal from that very easily........

Hey, if he can go through Phoenix demolecularizing his ass, then he can definitely go through with Cyclops' optic blasts.

Plus, Wolverine can dodge his blasts. He was in the military, after all.

And this Wolverine we get to see in X3 is totally and completely over the top.

I doubt that. This is supposed to be a one-on-fight fight. Everyone's going to be prepared.

Or like Toad did in X1. In an environment with the public within a certain radius, Cyclops would be restricted in what he could do. Wolverine would not.

I think it would be hard for Cyke to catch Wolverine off guard. Plus I agree with Avalanche, if this battle too place in a public Cyke would be more mindful of the civilians. Where as I think Wolverine would just be like they see him coming they should move.

To be fair, Cyclops was distracted with the other guards when Deathstrike knocked him out.

Now, I haven't seen X1 in a while (EDIT ), so I can't say too much about that.

And true, Cyclops would be restricted, but he's very tactical. I'm sure Cyclops would find a way to defeat Wolverine.
