Comics X-Men: Last Man Standing (Round 3)

Alrighty since no one else has taken the initiative I'm going to go ahead and start the third round. A few notes first...

1. Cyclops and Havok aren't fighting each other due to the inability for either to hurt the other with powers. As great as it would be to see these two sucker punch each other into oblivion it ain't happening.

2. Someone had to get a buy for this round due to the odd number of people.

3. Jean could school pretty much everyone on here so she's moving on to round 4 automatically. (Sorry Sebita your Jean/Storm fight has to wait for another round).

Now on to the matches...

Cyclops vs. Storm
Shadowcat vs. Havok


And for the bonus matches...

Changeling vs Mystique
Jubilee vs Dazzler
Northstar vs Quicksilver

and just so Jean has something to do...

Maybe you should pay attention before trying to knock someone elses ideas. Northstar was simply a bonus fight. Whoever we bring in to fight against Jean is going to get school anyhow that is why she's advancing on to the final 3.

It's up to you guys to decide. Oh and Changeling gets "half" powers and Mystique gets guns.


To exploding boys post right above me. Where are you getting northstar from? He was simply someone i threw in as a bonus fight. No matter what we've going to have to give someone a "buy" because whoever we pulled out of the grave to try and kill her would, most likely, just fail. Hence my reasoning...

Jean Grey vs Northstar

While her teke may not be able to shatter mountains it can certainly hurl our token gay canadian into a wall. Then she can make him think he's a two year old girl. Jean wins.


Storm vs Havok
Interesting match... I much prefer leader vs leader but this would be fun as well. Summoning lightning to strike him dead seems appealing but I'm pretty sure he could get off a few shots before that happened. I'm actually going with Alex on this one... although I can almost guarantee I'm outnumbered.


Cyclops vs Shadowcat

Kitty can phase an entire team through one of Cassandra's uber-Sentinel blasts. I think she can manhandle Scott long enough to rip his heart out. I'm giving this one to Sprite.

Jean Grey (Non Phoenix Force) Vs Northstar- Does the Hand resurrection provide any kind of training against telepaths? B/c if so, this one could be close and fun. Northie could stand up to Jean's TK (to a point) b/c his body can withstand incredible speeds and the drag/stress those speeds put on the human body. But still, have to give it to Jean.

Storm Vs Havok-For the same reason he beat Kurt, Havok go BOOM! Though if she survives his initial blast, he will go down. But I say Havok goes heavy out of the box to take her down. Havok

Cyclops Vs Shadowcat- It's a one on one fight so I don't see how Cyke can convince Kitty to come out of her phase long enough for him to hurt her. As sad as it makes me to say this, Cyke goes down to the kitten (I just wanted Cyke to keep going! lol). Shadowcat

Sage Vs Joseph- I have to give it to Joseph. He is younger than Mags and far more powerful (even when not burning out) and Sage does not have her full telepathy at her disposal. She would put up a strong fight but he would put her down with a grande magnetic storm. Joseph

I wasnt knocking your idea..i was just trying to make things simpler instead of having an odd # of fights and a bunch of extra fights and giving jean a free pass...so in the future instead of trying to make something out of nothing or whatever it was you were trying to achive by speaking like that, why dont you try be a bit more respectfull when people are trying to give you advice.

Oh and by the by i do beleive it wasnt your idea to start this thread anyways.

Jean Grey (Non Phoenix Force) Vs Northstar-Kind of a no brainer. She use her TP and make him think hes flying into an open space then using TK fly him into a wall. Jean


Storm Vs Havok-like stated before Alex go BOOM.Havok


Cyclops Vs Shadowcat-Ktty all the way. She can phase through his beams. Or dodge his beams and get close, once she does its all over for him. Shadowcat

Bonus Fight
Sage Vs Joseph- Sage can use all of her cyberpathy and crap like that but all Joe needs to do is bust one move and shes out. Joseph

Ah, Joseph. Nice. At least now we have a chance of averting the Jean/Storm finale with a heavy hitter.

Anyways.

Jean Grey (Non Phoenix Force) Vs Northstar- A little lopsided. Northstar has no defense against TP and he has no defense against TK. Its over as fast as Jean's synapses can fire, which is a hell of a lot faster than Northstar can move.


Storm Vs Havok- My conscience forces me to vote for Storm. Havok cannot blast her any faster than Storm can fry him with lightning, and Storm can fly to dodge and has a hell of a lot more range of powers.


Cyclops Vs Shadowcat- There is really no way short of PIS/CIS for Cyclops to hurt Shadowcat. Kitty wins, she's shaping up as a great dark horse candidate. Love her as always, so I'm glad.

Bonus Fight
Sage Vs Joseph- Magneto v. 2, indeed.

Shadowcat vs. Havok - Duh., Kitty.
Changeling vs Mystique -
Jubilee vs Dazzler - Dazzler hands down. Juby might has SOME training with wolv, but her power still don't hurt, just blind(and maybe burn).
Northstar vs Quicksilver - uuuuuuu.... quicky is definitely one of my old xfactor favs and northstar has been shown to hurt the hulk.... whoever is faster i say., and if thier at the same pace... NS?

Jean Grey (Non Phoenix Force) Vs Northstar - Jean, easily(really shouldn't have to think of any reason...
Storm Vs Havok - like i posted before, like cyclops, all alex would have to do is blast her but before she got something going(which it always take her time)
Cyclops Vs Shadowcat - This is a very hard one to figure. both are trained to peak performance.... I'm sure cyclops could stay away from kitty long enough for her to have to become tangible to breath and zapper her., but i still say kitty. she still is a VERY train hand to hand, all of'm are great acrobats, etc... what wins it for kitty is... Her PHASING

Bonus Fight
Sage Vs Joseph - Joseph., duh. he may not have exp, but he is magneto with no limitations
