If I see Jonah Hill or Rebel Wilson cast in this, I'm out. And while I admit part of that is due to wanting to primarily see eye candy, a much bigger part is that you know they'd end up being the butt of alot of the jokes. "A fat person in a bathing suit! Just insert men from the cast of Magic Mike 1 or 2 here if more dudes are needed, especially Channing Tatum.

Channing Tatum is obvious so yes.

Chris Pratt is pretty much now a supermodel type as well. He's also pro-male objectification so surely he'd be on board if they intend to have an equal number of hot male and female bodies.

Question is will these guys take a lower pay grade if Rock wants them both?

EXCLUSIVE: Paramount Pictures is ready to dive in with its long-gestating movie transfer of the global hit TV series Baywatch. It already set Seth Gordon to direct and Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron to play the male leads. Now, they’ve set a short list of actresses who will test for the female lead. Here are the names I hear: Alexandra Daddario (San Andreas, Percy Jackson), Ashley Benson (Pretty Little Liars, Elvis & Nixon), Nina Dobrev (Vampire Diaries), Alexandra Shipp (Straight Outta Compton, X-Men Apocalypse), Shelley Hennig (Teen Wolf), Bianca Santos (The Duff) and Denyse Tontz (Big Time Rush).

Now, it’s possible they will expand the search, and it’s also possible some of these young actresses will play other roles in the film, but we’ll know soon as they lock in for an early 2016 production start.

Johnson plays a by-the-book lifeguard forced to team with a young, rule-flouting hothead as they try to save the beach from environmental destruction at the hands of an oil tycoon. Damian Shannon & Mark Swift wrote the latest draft. Beau Flynn and Ivan Reitman are producing. Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions will also produce in some capacity.

I think this is going to be my new favourite comedy in terms of casting. I love the women and I like the guys that they've gotten with a good duo in the form of The Rock and Efron.

Think we should start setting the bar to 21/22 Jump Street level of expectations? I could see it potentially topping the hilarity brought by Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill. And critics and audiences loved both of those movies.

I do still hope for Kate Upton as CJ.

Daddario would be PERFECT for this (plus she's got an inside track by being a recent co-star of The Rock), and Nina Dobrev aint a bad option either. Really there were quite a few LG's on the show, so you could just cast the others in, well other roles.
