I just read on Wikipedia that the Ark with the G1 Optimus Prime and Megatron appeared in the series. Of course it doesn't say in which Episode the ark appeared, so I wanted to ask if someone can tell me which Episodes show the ark and the G1 Transformers.

I remember those eps well, my very first geekasim. Season 2 ended with a three parter called Agenda. Which features Ravage, rebuilt as a humanoid. In the climax of part 3 you see BW-Megatron enter the Ark and go to the command center. They do a top down shot as BW-Megatron passes over the deck, on the floor you see Soundwave.

Blasted against a wall is Starscream.

And slumped into the command chair is Optimus prime himself.

Also this scene shows Rumble earlier on as BW-Megatron enters. Thundercracker or Skywarp is lying on the ground across from Starscream. And Ironhide is near Prime as Megatron rises to blast his head off.

Also there is a flash back Sequence about the Arks crashing that I forgot about. :o

Shows Bluestreek or Prowl, you don't get a good enough look. Prime, and Ironhide in the pilot seat. Also you see Bumblee/Cliffjumper in another bridge position. And Ratchet is thrown around when the Decepticons attack.

You see G1-Megatron in part 2 of Agenda. BW-Megatron uses a shard of the golden disk he stole (which is from a voyageresque deep space probe) to play a message from G1-Megatron.

This convinces Ravage to help him. You also get a flash back of G1-Megatron

Also both Optimus prime (who speaks during his appearance in Beast machines) and G1-Megatron are voiced by Gary Chalk.

Sweet Baby James!  That looks awesome. Except for Megatron who strangely reminds me of Skeletor.

I'm currently downloading the Episodes and can't wait to see all those flashbacks. I wonder why they never made a computer animated show based on the G1 cartoon.

The holo image picture was really grainy. Like an old silent movie, or WW2 news reel.

But in another season 3 ep, "Master Blaster", you get a much better view. BW-Megatron is determined to use G1-Megatrons spark to get similar changes in himself that Optimus Primes spark did to turn Optimus Primal into Optimal Optimus. Essentually he turn into the big red dragon. And has the great line "Yes, enter the dragon!"

You'll also notice that Maximal and Predicons are about Hulk/human sized. In that same scene in the Ark BW-Megatron has another line that adresses that. He calls the Autobots and decepticons "Archaic energon guzzelers."

Ah, he looks much better in those screens. And I was already wondering about the size of the BW characters. Thanks for clearing that up.

Yeah when the Autobots and decepticons upgraded into Maximals and Predicons in "the great upgrade" they cut there size by like 2/3 to 3/4 to save on fuel. They also built there Cybertron right over the old one. You see this in an ep. of Beast Machines. Where Optimus and the crew find a section of old Cybertron and a holographic statue of Optimus Prime. You then learn Optimus Primal is decended from.

Also check out Humanoid Ravage, who talks.

So Optimus Primal is a descendant of G1 Optimus Prime?
I never knew the history well between G1 and Beast Wars.

I always thought they were the same.

No they made it clear that Beasties was a continuation not a re-imagining early on. There is a season 1 ep, "Possession", where Waspinator is pocessed by Starscreams mutant indistructable spark. They all react to Starscream as a persona of history. The Predicons talk of how Galvatron destroyed Starscream for betraying him to Unicron. They even show Unicrons planet form in a brief flashback.

Unicron's planet form.

Starscream possesing Waspinator.

While possessed Waspinator talked like Starscream. With the guy who did Terrorsaur doing a good impression of the original Starscream voice actor.

There was another episode when Rhinox(now programmed as a pred) knocked waspinator silly, and Waspinator thought he was shrapnel

beast wars and machines are the last series in the g1 continuity.

Just watched some of the Episodes and immediately had to make a few gifs.

Like I said geekasim. It would have been more perfect if Mainframe had been able to get Frank Welker to do Megatron for Agenda pt.2 and the rights to the original Tranformers theme for pt.3. But still they was great eps.

And Beast Wars was the best, for my money. More mature and complex stories, better animation, and interesting characters. "Code of Hero" is one of my all-time favorite half-hours of animated television, ever.

Megatron: Face it, Dinobot: you're old technology. Obsolete! What can you do?
Dinobot: Improvise!

Damn, I think I'm gonna have to make some gifs tonight, too. :D

I wondered where Dinobot disappeared to when I watched some of the Season 3 Episodes. Then on wikipedia I found out he died. :( :down

If you'd seen the episode, you'd realize how out of place that thumbs-down is. Outside of the fact that Dinobot being gone just sucks in general, literally everything about his death was executed perfectly. He was by far the most compelling character of the second season, and his death certainly lived up to that.

Beast Wars Torrent Season 1-3 12.08 GB. Get the download started.

^Too true. The death that they gave Dinobot was so, him. He fought for what he beleived in until he fell over dead, literally. And they actually showed him dying. No copout explosion of being vaporized. He dies in Optimuses arms and they have a funeral and everything.

Cool. Torrents are basically the low-budget DVD answer, anyway. ;)

Anybody read the Beast Wars comics that came out recently? It was all right, but they focused on a bunch of newbie Maximals and Preds who were "out of phase" with the main characters, so they were essentially invisible and undetectable, and they had their own little private battle. I would've much preferred to see a continuation of the Beast Wars story or some untold tales from the earlier seasons or something, but for what it was, it was all right.
