I thought I would try and help in any way by bringing these to your attention from another thread. Thought maybe they could help some how, except for maybe that last one...but it's cool.

Now the story, my compagny i've been hired by score to create this character, im not here to discuss it being a good idea or not the fact is they wanted it. The only reference i had for the modeling was the pic you all know now with Bale crounching and, in front pose on the background. The 3D character has been modeled and rendered in 5 days. The fact is, it obviously has some "off" details but considering the time i had, and the lack of references it was nearly imposible for me to model something more accurate, i tried to stick as closely as possible to the design but this wasnt that easy, some of you certainly know how hard it is to model a human body. Anyway you now know the story.

wow thats cool.... im glad to see that the pic from the french mag was indeed a 3D rendering that has NOTHING to do with the movie (how do people sleep at night printing just whatever they feel like?) and that someone was trying to pitch my poster idea to David Goyer (although he didnt respond to it).

Are you talking about me Antman? I posted the picture of the DKR style Batman Begins poster to Dave, I wasn't claiming it to be mine AT ALL. I put links down and everything, I even said It wasn't mine, actually, we may not even be talking about the same picture so...lol. These here ARE from the French Magazine cover, they ARE fake, they ARE NOT mine in anyway. I just wanted to help David here any way I can so he has a sulpture that is as accurate as possibile.

The renderings above are infact from the magazine cover. Antares is responsible for these beautiful works of art!! Big thumbs up!!

They are extremely helpful and already neatly saved in a folder with the rest of my reference material. Thanks Spanish for posting them here! Any and all reference material here is welcome.

As for the discussion of what and where neoprene is used on this Begins costume..well it's simple. All the elemets we see as Armor are mounted onto a neoprene wetsuit...just like the previous Batman movie costumes and Neoprene is similar to what the Spiderman costume was made from..which I am a huge fan of!

So the neoprene is the understructure of the Begins costume. All the elements you see with the details are cast up in foam latex.

I didnt even know it was you how posted the pic on the blade boards, but its fine, i was saying i think its cool.... that someone was like "hey Goyer look at this." like in a good way. and same for the costume renderings..... im saying im glad that we know they're fake now.... that is what the cover of the mag was made from right? those renderings?

hey david, can you tell what his gauntlets are made of? they don't look metal in the above renditions.

The 3D model above has the gauntlets as not being solid (like leather or something) but every photo of the suit suggests that the gauntlets are shiny and solid, like a metal or hard plastic.

Now I'm beginning to concentrate on the details...still too harsh and not subtle enough but we're really beginning to see the resemblence now...The outer line that defines the abb's is still not 'arched' enough but I'm getting there...

HELP: CAN ONE OF YOU PHOTOSHOP DUDES PLEASE CUT AND PASTE THIS ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE AND MAKE IT LOOK LIKE THE FULL CHEST??

Starting to slim it down...tighten up the Abb's...still a crap load of detail missing from the Abb's...but like I said above...getting there..

Shoulder and neck starting to take shape also...

What am I going to do when it's done? Why, wear it when I go out naturally...LOL!
Add it to my personal collection of superhero's, creatures and all the other nifty stuff I have all over the house.

Ha Ha looks like Batman fits into the costume quite well.


All kidding aside though you did a nice job on both costumes, I really liked your Predator costume also......you got real talent.
