yes, i know the alex ross original has pupils, but the issue i have is the pupils are painted rather badly in the final figure. compare it with the original prototype previewed at shows and u will see wat i mean, this was the one big disappointment for me .. i had been lookin forward to this figure since it was previewed .. sigh
Well, perhaps you got a bad one, the eyes on the one I got were perfectly fine.
Let me ask you though, did you have any trouble getting him to hold the batarang? Mine broke trying to get it to stay in his hand, had to make a new one and drill out his hand to hold it better.

ARTIST SIGNATURE SERIES: BATMAN: HUSH BY JIM LEE!

... superior to the original, and more admirable.

hmmm, it looks more like a repaint for the final figure, and it costs much much more. somehow, i think the original hush blue n grey figure is somehow more sought after now.

i didnt even try to fit the batarang in, slit in behind in his belt was my option. usually unless the accessory is rubber based, i rather not take the chance ... broke many a batarangs before already :)

A custom version of Zipline in the manner of DE:

... that only lacks a better cape.

DE as in the short film Dead End? not bad, it looks kinda mean with the all black utiilty belt.

I think 'variant' lends a more proper air of distinction:

… in the manner of the Jim Lee and Alex Ross cover art for the Wizard-X special - July 28, 2004.

One must be careful not to confuse ease of acquirement with being more sought after; a Big Mac cannot be consider more desirable than filet mignon simply because it is more easily within one’s grasp.

this is the best batman figure for the money in my opinion.
if it had a ball jionted neck it would perfect.
im also a big fan of the takara microman figure.
very fun to pose.

and the 12" takara looks great but thats too much money imo for a figure that is not quite perfect (armor looks cheap and tacky and the boots are unforgivable for $200+). i will wait until the the dark knight comes out and we get newer and better 12" figures before i buy one.
