I want to see it person first! See if there's a huge size difference between the two. I want to get the 160 gig but if its thicker than the 80 gig than Ill just get the 80. Also Im undecided on the color! I love black but its always prone to scratches and I hate that ****! I like the new silver color for the Ipod.

The 160GB unit is .8 oz heavier and 3mm thicker than the 80GB unit.

All iPods are very prone to scratches, at least mine is, but I have a really old one Gen 2 or 3, but you should probably get a cover for it.

They could also just give you in-store credit for the item rather than cash if you don't have the receipt.

Yeah, I always have to return at least one item to Best Buy after Christmas and never have the receipt, so they just give me in-store credit.

The Best Buy near me, I guess because people have been cheating them like this thread is about, Will exchange an open product for a new product, but will take the plastic wrapping off of the new one.

My experience with retailers in general is that they'll usually allow you to replace a defective product with one of the same retail value (another $1000 television if the original brand breaks, for example). If you speak with management staff and not just the service reps, sometimes you can work something out.

Well, the thing is every company is bound to have a few lemons. The IPod isn't the best when it comes to quality either, from my experience at least.

It will depend on the Best Buy you go to...some are stricter than others. So your miles may vary.

Yes. I've seen people posted on xbox fourms saying they upgraded to the elite from the premium.

i bought my premium before the price cut. do i pay the difference from the amount i paid before or the current value for a premium?
