Best CBM costume?

What is your favorite CBM costume ever? and how would you rank them?

I love, love, LOVE the John Romita/Steve Ditko influence on the design

Marvel basically ripped the 60s-70s drawings out of the comics and added a little bit of moderm flair, and christ, don't forgot about those beautiful emotive lenses:

Tom Holland's physique beautifully accented the suit in Civil War, bringing the Ultimate Spider-Man physique to big screen. This in my opinion, is how a CBM is meant to be done.


2. BvS Batman:

Finally, after 30 years of black rubber, we got a grey, fabric, comic accurate Batsuit. (I know the Burton 89' suit was accurate to the comics at the time, but i'm talking about traditional Batman)


It's a beautiful suit, but I can't say i'm a fan of them changing it in JL & going back to exterior armor again, ugh. Should've left it alone, Snyder.


3. Iron Man armors:

When I first saw the Iron Man trailer, I was blown away & absolutely captivated by how cool, sleek and badass the suits looked. I don't know, all of the armors ate beautifully designed. It perfectly updates the armor from the comics. Civil War is probably my favorite.




4. Black Panther Civil War:

One of the coolest costumes in the MCU, like seriously, they nailed his look. From the tribal patterns weaved into the fabric and helmet, to the sleek Panther aesthetic. It just a badass costume. Would love to see the cape in the Black Panther solo fiilm.


5. Superman (MOS):

It wasn't an easy task updating the classic Superman suit for modern audiences, but Michael Wilkinson brilliantly succeded in every sense of the word. The suit in Man of Steel is the perfect costume for a 21st century Superman. But again, i'm not a fan of the alterations they made to it in BvS, especially the muscle suit because it didn't look as natural as it did in MOS.. Just too artificial/fake looking. Also didn't care for the texture changes either.


So yeah, those are my favorite CBM costumes. Now I wanna hear everyone else's opinion.

Marvel's costumes are fantastic imo. Iron Man armors,Thor,Cap,Spider-Man,Black Panther,Ant-Man and Vision are definately my favourite . Deadpool was great too. Raimi's Spider-Man,Reeve's Superman and Begins'Batman were favourites too.

At a glance and in action, I don't think any superhero on-screen looks cooler than Iron Man. So I'm going to go with his various suits.

It's hard to say which one is the best ever or exactly rank them but I totally loved Enchantress' appearance in SS. I loved the dirty ancient sorceress form sooo much and I loved the spectacular lavish form too. To me, she was visually absolutely mesmerizing. But stills don't do justice to her visual design, there are those embers and ash flowing around her or that smoky silky veil, etc.

This is a tough call. We've had so many good ones in recent years. I think I'll go with:

1. Spider-Man (Raimi). I feel like this one was the one that really proved that you could create a colorful superhero costume and not make it look cheap or cheesy. It was also the turning point for comic book movies in general. I know that X-Men and Blade came first, but those films were much darker and at least in the case of X-men, an effort was made to distance itself from some of the more outlandish elements of the comics. Not so with Spider-Man.

2. Superman (Man of Steel)
3. Iron Man (any of the Marvel films)
4. Black Panther
5. Batman (BvS)

I could probably make up a list after I think about it for a bit, but I know that Batfleck's outfit from BvS (not the armor) and Ant-man from his solo movie would be somewhere up at the top of the list.

It was VEEEERY close between this and MCU Spidey but, man this one is just 100% comic accurate.

- Loki - he looks exactly as regal and elaborate as he should.
- The Mandarin - Ben Kingsley's costume as the public image of the Mandarin was a great design, capturing the overall regal look of the classic Silver Age Mandarin's costume while updating it with more modern elements representing terrorism and modern warfare.
- Black Widow - she always looks great no matter what movie she's in, and her costume is perfect.

This film isn't in my top 10 CBMs, and probably not even top 25 if I ever thought to organize them that deeply, but nothing matches the aesthetics of this costume. 19 years later, it's lost none of its cool factor.

I thought the end product was decent, but just barely so. In terms of aesthetics, Malebolgia looked as bad as Spawn looked good. Spawn's battles with Violator looked amazing, but the scenes in Hell looked like unfinished test footage.
