Which Superhero had, in your opinion, the best/favorite performance of 2017?

I'd say best performance was Xavier followed by Logan.

Best superhero from a heroism standpoint is Wonder Woman.

Hmmm it's a three way split between Jackman, Hemsworth and Gadot.

Jackman gave the best actual acting performance. But Hemsworth and Gadot were just unbelievably charismatic and magnetic in their roles.

Not sure if the best, but my favorite is Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man.

Tom Holland is the best in both Peter Parker&Spider-Man role so far.

By a country ****ing mile.

I haven't seen Justice League, but it would take a lot for any of them to finish ahead of Wolverine for this year.

There definitely was no shortage of great heroes and characters this year. Hugh and Sir Pat's performances were simply soul-bearing and near incomparable. But we got to see a wonderful journey from Diana and a Thor let loose by the mad genius Taika Waititi. Not to mention a sterling debut by Dafne Keen.

I'll have to give it to Logan though. I think I was just too deeply moved by him to let Thor or Diana pass.

Agreed. Although I enjoyed Tom Holland as Spider-Man, his Spider-Man was a bit of a screw up.

GG takes best superhero, but Jackman's Logan takes best performance. Honorable mention to Hemsworth for Thor.

Why the hell isn't Korg on this list? Korg beats everyone and it's not even close!

In second place is Doug....oh wait, Doug's dead!

Oh I didn't read "best performance before I voted.

Best performance: Hugh Jackman as Logan/the Wolverine... one final time.

Favorite hero: Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman (which is what I voted for). She was effervescent and a jolt of lightning in the genre. After that Logan, then the really underrated X-23/Laura. Then Tom Holland in fourth.

VERY close between Thor and Spodey. I'm gonna give it to Thor because I think he shined brighter than he ever has before in Ragnarok. Ive always liked Hemsworth in the role but now I absolutely love him. He nailed it this time around

I haven't watched LEGO Batman and Justice League yet, so maybe I shouldn't vote... but you know what, screw it, I doubt I will like any of their protagonists more than I liked Diana in Wonder Woman.

Which is funny, because I was one of those people convinced that Gadot would suck in the role.

1. Logan BY FAR
2. Spider-Man
3. Thor
4. Wonder Woman

I don't include the Guardians because they're more defined as a group than individuals, If I had to I would put them in first place because their character relationships and development in GOTG2 was magnificent.

1. Spider-man
2. Thor
3. Logan

4. Wonder chick

Thor! Hemsworth is simply perfect, and his charm is second to none. He was let loose in this film and the results were fantastic. Waititi said his aim was to make his hero likable, and I think Thor accomplished that more than any other hero on this list. I just fell in love with Thor's characterization this time around. His lovable and noble jock personality is spot on for Thor, a near indestructible prince who is a hero by profession. Reminded me of Disney's Hercules, and the recurring "that's what heroes do" line gelled with me. It really succinctly explains the character of Thor without the need for drawn out drama.

Beyond that, his character was the most dynamic of any other hero this year. The way he deals with Loki is the embodiment of how much Thor has grown, and there was a maturity there that just isn't seen in caricatures like Wonder Woman. Life and relationships are complex and ever evolving, and the relationship between the brothers had a depth to it that I suspect will be missed by many who can't look past the humor and levity.

On a more superficial note, he also had the best look, the best action scenes, and the best theme.

Thor is the most likable, most optimistic, most heroic, all while losing more than any other hero on this list. That's why he's simply the best superhero of the year.

Gotta give it to Jackman. I didn't like Logan, but he always turn in an excellent performance as the character. The latest outing was no exception.

I have to give Superman a slight edge over Thor. Both characters had cathartic moments in their respective franchises and the men playing them were forced to stretch their abilities.

I'll give Gal Gadot an honorable mention as well. She's worked diligently to improve, but she's restricted by WB's inability to figure out her character's exact story.
