Best CBM Hero of 2017

I have to give Superman a slight edge over Thor. Both characters had cathartic moments in their respective franchises and the men playing them were forced to stretch their abilities.

I'll give Gal Gadot an honorable mention as well. She's worked diligently to improve, but she's restricted by WB's inability to figure out her character's exact story.

I think I'm on your same page but its a pretty hard choice. I'll put Gal in my indecisive top three I guess is the only difference. Going to just barely go with Superman.

Ultimately, I voted for Wonder Woman, though I was close to voting for Thor.

I always knew Hemsworth was great as Thor, but after BvS, Gadot in "Wonder Woman" was a pleasant surprise. And the character of Diana/Wonder Woman was a breath of fresh air.

I also voted without realizing the question.

Tom Holland was my favorite hero of the year, mainly because his movie was my favorite.

But in terms of best performance, the real contenders are Gal Gadot, Hugh Jackman, and Laura Kinney. (Patrick Stewart's performance was possibly the best, but I can't call him a hero in Logan)

Overall, I'd put Kinney first - that incredible personality and intensity was completely unexpected and worked beautifully. I'd say Jackman and Gadot tied for second.

Jackman's Logan was by far the best performance for me of the movie world.

(Jon Bernthal would be a close second though if tv was included - another perfect casting)

He was willing to throw on his goofy Avengers costume to film cheesy PSAs to inspire future generations for years to come.
