I always have trouble picking these things, but the one I love the most out of all these films at the moment is Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
A runner up would be Zodiac. And probably Persepolis, but there's a lot on that list I still have yet to see though.
I did see No Country for Old Men and while I thought it was a really well made movie I didn't really love it for some reason. I do love the book though.
Zodiac. Easily the BIGGEST snub of this decade when it comes to being nominated for ANYTHING from the Academy Awards.
Zodiac is a very very underrated film....due to its bad release time...and I have a feeling when Shutter Island comes out next year...I feel it will be snubbed just as bad as Zodiac was at the Oscars
Struggled to chose between American Gangster or Zodiac. Went with American Gangster because it was bigger in scope. Good to see there's no superhero movies winning for once.
Very good year for movies ("No Country For Old Men", "There Will Be Blood", etc), but I voted for "Sweeney Todd" because it's my personal favorite. As far as blockbusters are concerned, "Transformers" was probably the best.
