TASM2.

Spider-Man felt like Spider-Man, in movement and style along with throwing out signature quips with Electro then shutting up when things got serious with Gobby/Gwen.

Plus, it was visually stunning.

Honorable Mention: Raimi's Spider-Man. Absolutely brutal and intense, but Maguire kinda ruins it for me. Dafoe was awesome in it, though.

You've spun your last web, Spider-Man. If you had not been so selfish, your little girlfriend's death would have been quick and painless, but now that you've really pissed me off, I'm gonna finish her niceeee and sloooowww.

Best - Spider-Man 2. Ock vs Spidey is a visual treat. The city being sucked into Ock's reactor was awesome. Ock's emotional sacrifice. MJ seeing Peter unmasked. The homage to the Master Planner arc of Spidey holding up Ock's collapsing lair etc. Best of the best.

Worst - TASM 2. CGI fest Electro fight. Dubstep. Horrible looking Goblin in a rushed Goblin fight. Gwen's death was ruined because it was her own fault. She shouldn't have been there, should have listened to Peter in the first place, and it's also her fault Harry figured out Spidey was Peter.

The train fight is better than the graveyard fight but we are talking about the CLIMAX and (imho) SM2 peaks in the middle where as SM1 builds and builds and ends with a bang.
I wouldn't say middle. He has 4 encounters with him. One during Doc's origin, one at the bank, one at the clock tower/train and one at his lair. The train scene is pretty much 75-80% into the movie. The bank scene is half way.

Best: Spiderman 1 abandoned hospital.

Worst: TASM2 clock tower fight. it was lame and it was weak. and it's sad, because the original cut of the fight was a lot longer and a lot more brutal

I actually love all of the final battles, so it's a bit difficult for me to pick. I have to give the edge SM1's though, because its brutality and intensity has never really been replicated in any of the other films.

This was a bit of a tough one for me to choose, but I also went with Spidey vs Green Goblin from Spider-Man. Not so much the part on the bridge, but the rest of it was just brutal. I felt like I could feel every single punch that Goblin landed on Peter. And every time when you think Spidey just might get the upper hand, Goblin turns it around again with another hit. Add to that, the awesome talk between the two of them leading to Norman's death. "Don't tell Harry." Still one of my all-time favorite movie fights. Oh, and thanks for letting me know it was an abandoned hospital they were in, I was never quite clear on where they'd ended up fighting. :p

A close second for me is The Amazing Spider-Man 2. I always knew that if they ever brought Electro to the big screen, it would simply be a visual treat to watch and I was definitely right, in my eyes. The fight looked amazing, the electricity everywhere, the music. Spidey's quipping, everything. And just when I thought it couldn't be better, the Goblin showed up for the awesome moment when he realizes that Spidey and Peter are the same, leading into the final fight. Even knowing what was coming, that fight had me on the very edge of my seat more than any other. It was super tense all around, my only complaint would be that I think it was too short and there should have been a bit more fighting after Peter had his moment to cry for Gwen.

The Amazing Spider-Man is what I'd most likely put next. It was awesome to see Spidey moving around like Spidey should, evading the Lizard and trying to get the antidote ready to go. Captain Stacy coming in to help, no hesitation with the shotgun was perfect and I thought they handled his death scene very well.

Spider-Man 3 is next but it was very close to getting third spot. It's not a "great" fight in and of itself, but the thing that saves it for me is the New Goblin. I absolutely loved the visuals of Peter and Harry fighting together to save MJ. Harry catching him, Spidey riding on the glider, all of it was great to see. And then the sad death scene of Harry.

So that leaves Spider-Man 2 in last place, simply because it's the least memorable fight to me. I had to look it up just now and really there's not a whole lot to it and it's over so quickly. Ock's sacrifice and MJ finding out the truth were great moments, but as a whole I thought it wasn't the best. The train fight was amazing, but this one just left something to be desired, in my opinion at least, being the final fight and all. Please don't yell at me, Joker. :funny:

SM2's final fight was mainly focused on Peter (and eventually Otto) trying to destroy the fusion reactor and saving MJ, rather than an all-out brawl. However, Ock was badass as always. "Let's see you scurry out of this" *Spidey gulps*.

+1 for Spidey vs Goblin in SM1. Was my favourite CBM showdown until Batman vs Bane round 1.

When I say fight, I literally just mean the fight itself, not all the stuff surrounding it (ie Peter and MJ's relationship at the end of SM2, the battle of wills and ideals in Batman vs Joker in TDK) etc.

Easy choice. It's the Goblin vs Spidey fight from SM1. It was a great brutal exchange that had a real sense of danger, one of the few, for the ol' webhead. It made you wonder how Spidey would end up winning. Of course Goblin fell into the trope of monologuing, threatening who else??, MJ, and gave Spidey the edge and caught GG off guard.

Whilst the spidey fights are ok they don't compare to the transformers fights or THe last stand, both Oscar worthy masterpieces in their own right

We are just about on the same page. The thing I have to say is that no matter what problems the movies have had action is not one of them. Ever sm movie has had at least one action sence that has stood out. SM1 last goblin fight, sm2 train fight and really ever fight lol. Sm3 harry, peter fight at the begging, asm1 school fight and even though it was short the under water fight, asm2 power plant fight and goblin fight all of those fights I just said where great and better then like 95% of the other fight sences in other CBM.

SM hands down...

Overall fights goes to the train scene in SM2. Best fight scene in CBM history, IMO.

Easily the best fight and even going on 11 years latter the CGI still look quit good. I have watched sm 2 to many times to count and I am still blow away.

Excuse me.

lol has you can see by my sig I love love the dark knight trilogy ha all 3 are in my top 5 CBM ever but I found form the time where harry breaks out electro to the end of the movie is the best CBM ever. The first 1/3 of asm2 is kind of slow, 2/3 is great and last 1/3 is the best CBM end ever. If the first 1/3 had been better asm2 would be right up there with sm2 has the best sm movie ever but I no people are going to hate on me for that lol.

Spider-Man 3. It's an eye feast, an incredible spectacle in the action department.
Spider-Man 1's final battle is a great contender.

I didn't really like the final battle in SM3 that much, but I like the mood it gives off. That Spider-Man is a super-powered individual capable of great feats, but is far from invincible. He's pounded by Sandman and dominated by Venom. He really has to earn his victory.

That's what I love about him. In most cases, he's the weaker of the two opponents. Especially in Webb's films, he was totally outclassed by both the Lizard and Electro.

If you have the spirit of a champion you will find a way to win. Just as an artist is still capable of expressing themselves with barebones tools.

The mood is a big part of the joy.
And the way Venom moves.

Exactly. He didn't use brute force as much in Webb's films either. Connors and Dillon were defeated by wits and strategy, as well as crucial help from Gwen.

Personally, I think ASM2's final fights were straight out phenomenal. It actually felt like an actual fight ripped right out from a comic. Although SM1 is a tight 2nd, that battle was BRUTAL.
