I want the best comic featuring Galactus kicking ass, and with Silver Surfer...

Recommendations?

When I think of Galactus, the term "kicking ass" never comes to mind.

Of course, the first Galactus adventure is the one to always read, imo. If you want recent, Annihilation involved them both, and it restructured their roles in the MU.

Yeah the first is the best. Fantastic Four #48-50. Annihilation though has the best single Galactus feat.

Trial of Galactus was a good book, it's in a trade book

Galactis versus Darksied I guess.

... a lot of people have to have seen him when he came to earth...

Why is it, I'm suddenly envisioning a cult sprining up in the 616 devoted to Galactus.

Last Galactus Story from Epic Illustrated.

Probably the very least known, but very best Galactus story out there, anyway.

Not sure that's in a trade paperback and it'll be a pain for him trying to find all the mags issue to read the whole story

Nah, not at all.

Use BitTorrent or DC++.

I still support a cult for Galactus in the comics! Who's with me?

I dont think it'd work in 616. For it to happen it would require enough of the public to notice the fact that aliens exist.

The 616 general public is too stupid to acknowledge the existence of anything like that. Magic, Aliens, Gods etc.

And didnt something like that already happen in the Ultimate U? Or was that a church devoted to the surfer?

I'm glad no one mentioned Ultimate Galactus. That was horrendous.

The visits by Galactus usually occurred on top of the Baxter Building where the general public couldn't see it. They were probably too used to things occurring up there to pay much attention. I believe though that the general public does know that these things occur but they find out afterward and are too removed from the event for it to have much emotional impact.

I still say there needs to be a cult of Galactus worshippers. I don't know how I'd explain it, but it needs to happen.

Then let me reccomend his battle with The High Evolutionary from FF #175, and his battle with a cosmically powered-up Sphinx in FF #212 and #213...:word:

THe stories of him vs Tyrant in Silver Surfer were pretty good. Back when Starlin & Lim were on the staff.
Can't get that in trade but the back issues shouldn't be tough to find.

It was a church devoted to the Surfer but the story suggested that Galactus was behind it.

don't forget the one with the slugfest against Inbetweener in Silver Surfer or that one shot book when Big G battle against Mephisto

The herald was more or less the "prophet", it was a cult devoted to the coming of Gah Lak Tus, since one of it's purposes was to make sure not everybody was willing to fight it.

I've never seen the Mephisto fight. Does the Big G hand him his ass?

I was always partial to the retelling of the first Galactus story in Marvels.

Gorgeous art and the story was told by a man on the street level.
