World Best non-Christopher Reeve Superman?

I'll have to say Dean Cain, because I remember him the most; I only saw a few Reeves episodes, and I did not nee Alyn' serials.

I actually like all three actors. I vaguely remember the serials (they were on t.v. once when I was a kid). I think my face was like this whenever Kirk Alyn turned into a cartoon when he flew. I know alot of people come down on Dean Cain and Lois and Clark in general. I appreciate it for what it was (a different interpretation of the Superman mythology). For what that show was trying to do I think Dean was well cast and he did a good job. I also think pictures don't really do George Reeves justice. I went back and watched the first season of the Adventures of Superman and I really enjoyed Reeves performance. He had an authoritative and commanding presence. I really liked how he could be very tough around bad guys and then turn around and be very gentle and compassionate around people in need. That's why I picked him.

That pic doesn`t give him justice. Look at the grannies pants of George Reeves. He is Fatman not Superman. George Reeves as Superman to me looks like the same as Adam West as Batman: STUPID.

Reeves wasn't fat at all, but just built like a barrel. The larger trunks was the fashion back then, just look at the original Superman cartoons and drawings, the trunks are pretty much like Reeves. Besides, it is better than nut huggers lol.

I think all three of them managed to capture the Superman of their respective decades, but of these three, i like Alyn's portrayal best.
I know I seem to be in the minority here but i just feel like he really captured the golden-age superman very well. He looked the part and it just seemed like a '40s comic come to life. Although, the Spider-Lady was kind of a cop-out for a decent bad guy/gal... but for a 1948 serial, i liked it.

Dean Cain is the best, in my opinion, cause he is the most human Superman we ever had. His Clark Kent was far better than Reeve`s in my opinion. He is the one i grew up with. I really loved Lois & Clark because of Dean, Teri and the rest of the cast.

Uh, Dean Cain's Clark Kent was just Dean Cain being less hung up on himself. He was a pretty bad actor and brought nothing dynamic or unique to the role. He was also the worst looking Superman, and I have no doubt George Reeves could kick his ass anyday.

And there is no...I repeat NO comparing Cain to Reeve. There is no suitable analogy for that comparison it's so ridiculous.

But I'd like to say that my favorite non-Reeve Superman would be the one from TAS.

I liked Corolla's Superman, he had the best look but acting, not so good. I also liked the TAS Superman. I didn't really like George Reeve or Kirk at all. So I guess my vote goes for Dean Cain.

I've only seen Cain, so I didn't vote, but I would just like to say that I think he did a good job in the role IMO. His Clark Kent was great, but Superman lacked something.

He was the worst. A cocky, smug, bad-acting, oversized hack. There's a reason the guy isn't famous. Any Superman that stands there and expands his chest to impress or something is sad. He was worst than Cain, if that's possible.

It is easy for us who are to young to remember George Reeves as Superman to dismiss him in favor of Cain.(Ugh!) I will always see Christopher Reeve as my Superman, but George Reeves easily takes these other guys. I recently bought the first season of the Adv. of Superman ,and let me tell you Reeves' Superman is Superb! Way better than Cain's Superman. George Reeves all the way!
