What are the best sitcoms you've ever seen? You can name them for being the funniest, or the best written, but considering some of the bad rep they get i would like to know which ones are the best.

Off the top of my head i can only come up with Seinfeld and How I Met Your Mother.

Seinfield is a great one, for sure. Cheers and Frasier are also grand. The best sitcom I've ever seen was Only Fools And Horses, although it lost some of it's charm after the ended it beautifully, then decided to tack more 'special' episodes on. It Ain't Half Hot Mum, Fawlty Towers, My Family and a few other British shows probably deserve a mention as well.

I'm wondering if anyone else remembers an old(ish) show called George and Leo? It was about these two old men who ran a small bookstore. I don't remember all that much about it, it aired back during the early 2000's I believe and was pretty darn funny.

I remember a really funny old Brit comedy called No, Honestly with Pauline Collins and John Alderton as CD and Clara...

I was a huge fan of The Cosby Show back in the day ;)

Forget about MASH. Forget about Cheers. Forget about Arrested Development.

Shame on all of you for forgetting about this classic.

The Mighty Boosh (UK version; US Adult Swim trimmed scenes to shorten runtime).

Oh, also The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

Huh, so I finally met someone who actually liked Full House. Guess I can check that off the list.

Actually, I think one of the best sitcoms, before it totally went to hell, was Roseanne.

I also enjoyed the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, before I realized all the racist innuendo against white people. Family Matters wasn't offensive, but it did get rather dull as I matured.

If Fawlty Towers counts as a sitcom, it's in a league of its own. I never really thought of it as one, but I suppose it is.

Friends is my favorite. HIMYM is also good, pretty funny but it's getting looooonnngg and drawn out!
