Best Soundtracks/Scores of 2006

After being mesmerized by Clint Mansell's amazing score for The Fountain, I'm curious as to what everyone's favorite soundtracks and scores of the year are.

Off the top of my head, I'm still loving John Ottman's Superman Returns, David Julyan's The Prestige, and of course, Clint Mansell's The Fountain.

My favorite band also helped out a bit on Harry Gregson-Williams' score for Deja Vu, so I'm definitely looking forward to hearing that one in full as well, even though I haven't seen the movie yet.

I still haven't seen The Fountain. So, I can't comment on that. But...I already heard Danny Elfman's Charlotte's Web score and it is VERY good. It is a Edward Scissorhands/Black Beauty combo.

Casino Royale soundtrack was great, I like Airport scene a lot but I like "The Name's Bond James Bond track alot.

Superman Returns is the best of the year.
(My favorite piece of the score is either Reprise/Fly Away or Little Secrets/Power Of The Sun. I love the scene when Supes recharges.)

Followed by:

- X-Men: The Last Stand.
- Casino Royale.
- The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.

Wow, after listening to the COMPLETE Superman Returns score, that soundtrack went up a lot in my books. WHY DIDNT THEY RELEASE THIS FIRST!!??! Oh yeah, so they can sale a complete version a year down the road.

Are you sure that music was even part of the soundtrack? Like 99% of the time they use music from other movies to score trailers.

It had great songs on the soundtrack like:

Teriyaki Boyz - Tokyo Drift.
Atari Teenage Riot - Speed.
N.E.R.D. - She Wants To Move (DFA remix)
