I was close when I said Japan only....I do think that it bwas released in the U S under a different name durring the transmetal wave but it had a very smal production run if I'm right.

Why? Its classic 80's cartoon. I love it. BW still rules all TFs, but G1 is second best.

Perhaps. However, if you visit any Transformer messagerboard, most posters their would vote "Beast Wars". Beast Wars is more highly regarded in transfandom than G1 is.

So, if the majority of people in the polls are below age-23, then Beast Wars will win the "Best Transformers Series poll."
