After watching the old TF from the 80s, I have noticed a lot of Beast Wars episodes had similar if not identical plots to the olf TF episodes.

yeah i think g1 was the vest with beast wars a close second..even when it turned into beast machines it was pretty good..i can't stand armada or the other new ones

I liked Armada. Energon and Cybertron had pretty bad graphics, and the plots were out there.

G1 and cybertron were my favorites.

The best written of all the TF shows was Beast Wars and Beast Machines.I like the way both shows took in elements of bot the G1 cartoon and the G1 marvel comic with out saying that it was a contuiation of ether story line.In effect creating a new univers........But my fav is G1.

wow that kind of wierd. ive never really watched cybertron and i didnt like energon. most people who like g1 think cybertron sucked
Cybertron wasn't my favorite. G1 was way better. My biggest problem with Cybertron, making Primus Cybertron. :wow:

do primus and unicron ever fight each other. ive never really watched a full episode but i saw part of one with primus. i think it would be cool if they did but cybertron did suck so it might not have hapened

No.

IMO, all the series after Armada got suckier and suckier graphics. But I watched them for the plot, which wasn't always great. :(

I thought Cybertron had some interesting Episodes. But as the show went on, I had the desire to smash someone's skull in. You can watch one and the same Transformation sequence only so many times before you go crazy.

Beast Machines certainly lifted a few plot elements verbatim and tried to make an ongoing story out of them. But Beast Wars was mostly it's own thing. However you might be thinking of the second season, which tried the show pretty closely to the G1 (esque) Universe that came before it.

Yeah. Completely agree.

No I meant the plot line on idividual episodes. Like, the episode in G1 where Megs makes the Autobots stuck in vehicle mode. BW, Megs makes it to they have to stay in Beast mode and then they get stuck in it. Or the other episode with the ray that makes them get stuck in beast mode (even more like the G1 episode) A couple other episodes that had that type of similarity. I can't remember at the moment.

so did primus and unicron ever duke it out. i mean come on theres if there two robobts that turn into planets and they never have them fight that would really suck

We're led to believe they did. The whole point of Cybertron was that there had to be good and evil, Unicron and Primus. So I guess that makes Unicron the devil?

Also, I gotta say I think Primus is a lot bigger that Galactus. Er...um..Unicron.

In G1 they never said that Primus could transform like Unicron could.

He was locked in planet form. Unicron reshaped himself to transform, while Primus simply created a race of beings who mimmicked Unicron's abilities (i.e. the Transformers). Banded together they were suppose to be a fighting force capable of stopping the Chaos Bringer. Grimlock further hypothesized that the reason for the Decepticons, Autobots and the Great War was ordained by Primus himself. It was, in actuality, a war about genetics. A way for Primus to strengthen his creations over time and prepare them for their final battle.
