I have this friend, and she's never really watched or read anything Spidey related. What do you all think would be the best way to introduce her? Raimi's Spidey? Webb's Spidey? Spectacular Spider-Man? Ultimate Spidey comics? What do you all think?

I would say the 90's animated siears has it is the best spider man cartoon and spider man's joke where really funny or spider man 2 has it is just a great movie and has really good action in it.

You keep that girl away from Webb's series, especially Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Stick with the animated series or Raimi's. Classic comics would be cool too.

Spectacular Spider-Man would be a good way to start, although she might think cartoons are too kiddie. If so, you should start with the Raimi series and then get her interested in the cartoons. As for comics, the classic ones are extremely goofy, so I'd start with Ultimate.

Keep her the hell away from the Webb series, and the Ultimate Spider-man cartoon.

TSSM because it takes several iterations of the characters and brings them into a nice updated package that's both current, contemporary and classic. Plus, most girls I think, would be into the animation designs...they're 'cute.'

The Raimi movies, the 90's cartoon, Spectacular Spider-Man, or the 616 comics are all safe options.

Cartoons and comics if she doesn't find them silly and would put in the time to watch/read them and if she will not rage in the rise and drop in quality of animated cartoons. Other than that, just stick to movies.

if it's a comic, i strongly suggest spider-man blue by jeph loeb and tim sale. beautiful and jazzy, it's spider-man at his most relationship centered. it exudes atmosphere and intelligence. it's one of my favorites.

amazing spider-man #248. it's really the second story, the kid who collected spider-man, that is one of spidey's greatest tales, and saddest.

amazing spider-man, vol. 2, #36. john romita, jr.'s most inspired, emotional work, and a wonderful, non-aggressive, pro-tolerance response to 9-11.
