...though he did once appear in the background of a panel (with Werner Roth I think it was) when Scott and Jean were snogging (in a Christmas episode if I remember) and say "Gee, that would never have happened when we had the book"

I am Jean's fan, but for couple i vote Rogue/Gambit all the way. True love for a man that can have all the women and loves more than his life a woman he cannot touch.
Then comes Jean and Cyke.... Get it guys, they are soulmates!

I enjoyed their moments in X-treme x-men.. They TOTALLY deserve it!

PS Where are Betsy and Angel, Lorna and Alex??? It's half a poll!And i agry about Storm and Forge. Even if some don't like them, they should be added in the list!

Can someone please explain to me why people are calling JEAN a skank??? Did I miss something? Jean was always the pure one of the twisted love triangle! Since when is she a tramp? I'm not exactly a huge Cyclops fan, but Jean Grey and Cyclops are iconic! I mean, their relationship was a staple of X-Men comics for almost 40 years! They brought out the best in each other. I just don't get it...maybe I'm missing something. I remember reading the comic when they got married...I cried! No lie, I cried. And I seriously HATE Cyclops. But it was beautiful to me. Anyway, someone help me out here, because I'm confused.

It might have something to do with the man sandwhich she's been in for 35 years, and the fact that she does incourage Wolverine's feelings.

I remember when they alluded to Rachel being Wolvie's daughter and not Scott's. A funny little often overlooked fact that's conveintly ignored on every comic book forum to cling to the idea that Jean is faultless.

Ummmm... I've read almost every comic (not in single issue form, of course) and I've NEVER seen Jean be anything but faithful to Scott (unfortunately). I hate Cyclops, and believe me, I'd remember if she'd done anything with Wolverine. It was clear for decades that Cyclops was her guy. It is possible for someone like Jean to care for Wolverine without giving in to him.

For a long time after Rachel's introduction, we the reader's were left achingly obvious clues that the paternity of Rachel was in question.

It wasn't until Sinster came along and unwittingly proved that Scott was the father did that idea get squashed.

Again its often overlooked because Jean is presented to be a freaggin saint. The last time I checked married women who claim to be monogmous aren't suposed to have feelings for other men. The fact that she never clearly told Wolverine to BACK OFF and that she enjoyed the attention she got from him and Scott does make her look a little...well not so virtuous.

Is Jean perfect, no. I reconize that she is torn, and it's a mistake. I hate the fact that she's presented to be flawless and readers actually take it.

Well there is a difference between FLAWED and ****... that's all I'm saying. Was she perfect? No, but Superman is perfect, and that's boring. I just mean she never cheated on Scott. He was her true love. I don't know if anyone else has experienced it, but you can love someone with all of your heart and soul, but every so often, you do something stupid or let someone "touch" you (non-sexual speaking).

As a trained psychic it should have never happened. She also knew how insecure Scott felt about Wolverine and his attentions. She never really did anything about that. Like I said before, she welcomed the attention. That's is kinda, dare I say it...****ty.

More than anything else it was a cry from attention for Scott to pay attention to her like that, but it didn't come of that way. I am shocked that other people are finally seeing it, do you have a link?

It's true that Jean had occasionally some flirty moments with Logan.

And they might end up in a relationship if she gets back alive in comics now that Scott is with Emma. Who knows, we are not the writers.

But she has been a lady in every aspect. she had always proclaimed her love for Scott, and whenever she gave in to some of Logan's flirt, was when Scott left her feel insecure. Plus she never told Scott that she didn't care for Wolverine. But she knows where is the barrier. She is not a **** in any way.

And another thing. The way she loved and treated and helped raising Nathan. She overcame great tragedies and things Scott did to her (marry Madelyne Prior, have a psychic affair with Emma). OK she had couple of kisses with Logan the past 40 years. So? Scott has a marriage and other serious love affairs besides Jean.

Whenever s**t happened and she was about to get killed or die, she was calling Scott's name, she ran to Scott, she loved him more than anything and she was the strong one in their relationship. As a couple they just fill up each others insecurities and weak points. They match together.Shes a family girl. A woman that loves her husband, stands by him and loves children.

I am not a big fun of Cyclops, i find him a bit boring as a character, but it's a pity for Jean when she gets back (cause we all know and hope some day she will) to see her husband being with Emma. And i don't think this time Scott will leave Emma cause he CHOSE Emma. And i give him a point that every little and while Jean becomes Phoenix, Dark phoenix, White Phoenix, other Phoenix versions. And he has to kill her or face her. Hard for him. But still cheating on her?No man... That's not an attitude.

Moreover i suspect sometimes it's harsher for people to learn that a woman is cheating on her man than the opposite? Why? Is male feelings and code of honour different than female ones?

Again, you cannot accuse Jean of being a ****.

I am Jean fan...but people try to make her out as being innocent..she not at all.....I wouldn't go too far and call her a ****t...she just acts ****ty...wants to be...but can't....I always thougght she went to logan to spice everything with Scott....but Ultimate Jean Grey is a **** though!!!
I like Jean/Scott..but thats dried out and is boring..and was tried of the every going Love triangle and I am Glad Grant Morrison brought it to an end....Emma/Scott is the Brand new Flagship X-couple..Jean coming back is not gonna stop that...
