Masters&Koslov got released too?,I actually thought Koslov was underrated and I got into Masters in the last year or so!

Who will be No.1 Contender for the Internet Championship now? :csad:

John Morrison issued the following statement via Twitter concerning Melina, his girlfriend, who was released this afternoon from her contract with WWE.

He wrote, "I've always believed that Melina is the most talented Diva ever employed by World Wrestling Entertainment. (not to mention the hottest!) Her face conveys emotion. Vince McMahon likes to say “Television is a feeling” and I agree with him. That’s what Sports Entertainment is all about. Melina’s presence on Television, aside from the obvious (she be sexy!) is raw emotion- joy, rage, surprise, disgust… her passion just pours out of her

"Melina’s presence on Monday Night Raw will be missed by the WWE universe… and especially by me.

"I think this is the end of a chapter in the book of @RealMelina – I met Melina on my audition for Tough Enough 3, I never forgot the smile, and hug she gave me when I made the show and she got cut and told to go home. I’ve stood next to her with Joey while MNM was yelled at; told we’d never make it, we were worthless. I’ve seen her come back from 2 career threatening injuries. She is one of a kind, and talented enough to do whatever she wants. I’m proud to be her man. I love her, and will support whatever she chooses to do next.

"#staystrong #thankyoumelina."

Melina wrote the following about her WWE release on Twitter today:

"Feel free to Tweet, write, call @WWE about how u feel about anything. You deserve to be heard regarding any matter. Strength in numbers. I love you all so dearly and reading all of your tweets. Seeing the trend... I know w/out a doubt, I'm a lucky woman! In the next few days you will see many updates on the matter, so keep checking www.RealMelina.com I will definitely Blog & Vlog about it. I've been through quite a bit of stuff in my life. I Overcame each time. I'll never give up. Not now. I'll Always fight & #StayStrong "

Melina also sent a Tweet to John Morrison in response to his heartfelt reaction to her release:

"@TheRealMorrison U just made me cry. I love you so much. I'm very proud of what u have accomplished & to have u as the love of my life."

WWE announced Friday that they have come to terms on the release of Raw Superstar Chris Masters.

Their official statement reads: "WWE has come to terms on the release of Chris Masters as of today, August 5, 2011. WWE wishes Chris the best in all of his future endeavors."

He issued the following statement this afternoon concerning his departure from the organization: "Obviously, I'm surprised by the move. But I'm optimistic. I'm going to move forward and see what lies ahead. I still love this business and I'm not going to give up because of this small set back. I want to explore and see what options I have for the future."

Masters is available for bookings at [email protected].

Fans can also keep up with Masters on Twitter at ***********/WWEMasterP. He commented on his performances for WWE in the past year, writing, "Watch any match I've worked in the last year and tell me I wasn't one of the best in ring guys in the company. I'm just saying!"

Masters was drafted to the Raw brand last April in the 2011 WWE Supplemental Draft. He primarily competing on WWE Superstars, last appearing on yesterday's show in a losing effort against Jack Swagger.

Thank you for posting that list I already posted Sage :oldrazz:

I gotta admit I feel bad for Masters. When he came back he suffered through some silly gimmick and story ideas but he'd actually improved in the ring and entertained me sometimes.

Kozlov...no big loss. Good look but terrible at everything else except as part of Santinos comedy act. That added to the lifespan of his WWE career.

With Gail and Melina gone it makes me question WWE's long term planning. When Kong comes back they have TWO women total that can work with her and have good matches. Kong vs Beth is the "money" match so that just leaves Natalya to be the only girl that can job in a great match or have a great feud with her in the near future.

Melina and Gail could have been at least used as jobbers to build Kong up as a face or heel. They were two of the few talented enough to look good against her.

Everyone else is basically just a barbie for Kong to break in a beatdown. I mean the Bellas have improved but...does anyone give a sh**?

Eve is a great athlete...not so great a worker.

Maryse is the poster girl for the Implant Buster.

Poor Ryder he must have been saying goodbye to all his peers in the wwe, while he was expecting his name to be mentioned among the cuts.

They were dumb to act out in the way they did. Regardless of their talent, it was almost like they were asking for it, especially Kim.

Gail probably was asking for it. And Melina had to know it was...er...coming...sooner or later after the last few months

If I were harry Smith I'd give ROH a shot if he wants too keep wrestling.

going to TNA has actually given Winter a chance she never had in WWE so I'd say Gail and Melina would be better off there if they want to showcase their talent.

Gail Kim, Melina, Angelina, ODB, Traci Brooks, Tara, Madison Rayne, Mickie James, Sarita, Winter, Jackie Moore..a lot could be done with that roster.

TAKING A LOOK AT TODAY'S WWE TALENT RELEASES AND WHAT COULD BE IN THEIR FUTURE

By Dave Scherer on 2011-08-05 15:20:14

As you all know by now, a number of talents left WWE today, one by choice, the rest not-so-much. Here's a look at each of them.

Gail Kim: She chose to quit, which is kind of interesting considering I wrote in The Wrap Up today that since she was obviously unhappy in WWE she should just do so. As you could tell from her recent tweets, she was miserable in WWE and didn't like the way that they use the women in the company. She is a talented wrestler who likes to work to the best of her abilities. She is not into the preening and mindlessness that often accompanies being a "WWE Diva". It was pretty clear she was ready to go this week when she wrote on Twitter that she eliminated herself from the Battle Royal on Raw just to see if anyone would notice. I could see her going back to TNA since she enjoyed her time there and only went to WWE for the paycheck. TNA would be wise to take her back as they actually push the wrestling aspect with their knockouts and she would be a great addition to the division.

Melina:
Her recent social media postings, as well as some off camera incidents, helped put a bullseye on her. WWE doesn't like for their talent to go out and do embarrassing things in public and Melina has been doing just that lately. It has been clear for months that she wasn't going to get pushed and had become an enhancement diva. The interesting scenario here is that she is the significant other of John Morrison, so it will be interesting to see how her release affects him. Given the recent comments he made about getting the short stick at WrestleMania in his match, it's very possible WWE doesn't care how he takes the news. In the long run, it should be a positive for his career if he can get past this as without her to worry about in the workplace there will be less potential pitfalls in front of him. As for her, TNA and Shimmer are probably options but I can see TNA being a bit leery of picking up someone that they could perceive as being another WWE problem as they haven't hit all home runs doing so in the past. While Kurt Angle worked out great for the company, Matt and Jeff Hardy haven't exactly been banner acquisitions for TNA. She has already taken to social media to get people to write WWE and promises to tell stories on her website in the next few days. That is the exact wrong tact to take in returning.

David Hart Smith:
I can't say him being released surprises me since he has fallen off of the grid lately. His fall from the public eye however does. He has great blood lines, excellent size and what I have seen from him in the ring has been good yet they separated him from Tyson Kidd and Smith disappeared. The potential is there but there has obviously been something that held him back in WWE's eyes. Without speculating on what that is, it certainly appears it's a non-wrestling issue. That makes it hard to speculate on his future. Hopefully whatever caused him to become the invisible man can be overcome and he gets another chance. There is a lot of potential there. Without knowing why he was de-pushed, it's hard to say what his future options are. He wrote on his Facebook page he is going to Japan so perhaps that is where he will start putting the piece back together. I hope he can do so.

Chris Masters:
This one surprised me a bit since he has improved a lot since he returned to WWE. He was even getting wins on the house shows last weekend and now he is gone. He made a good impression on Hulk Hogan in the past so I think there is a really good chance he could end up in TNA. They like big, muscled up guys and Masters has improved to the point where he can have good matches now. Him going to TNA would be a good move for the company. Given how Masters started in the business, he has a lot to be proud of with him improvement.

Vladimir Kozlov:
This doesn't shock me at all. He was a one trick pony and honestly when you are as big as he is and the company plays you as a comedy character, the writing is on the wall. Being broken away from your comedy partner puts the writing on the wall in permanent magic marker. I don't know what is ahead for him because he doesn't seem like a fit in TNA to me. His size and "MMA skills" have been so minimized by WWE that he will be hard to take seriously. He is like a George Wendte, who gets one great role and can really never work again because everyone will always see him as Norm from Cheers.
That does it for now. I will update this later if more talents get released.

Kim went back just for the money eh, that makes it kind of hard to feel sorry for her. She basically knew how things were going to go down but re-signed with the WWE anyway just for the cash.

I'm surprised that Primo "My face looks like a Rapist on SvR 2011" Colon hasn't been released yet.

And somehow, I expect both Kaitlin and Rosa Mendes to be released.

Could someone please give John Morrison directions to Rob Terry's house? I don't want him to get lost on his way to pick up Melina.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Primo or Hawkins go either.

I was just about to post this. I think Dave is pretty spot on with his assesments.

I'd love to see DH Smith go to TNA and get a huge push. The position Crimson is being lined up for, unfortunately, is where I think DH Smih should be.

DH Smith has had ties with Hulk in the past so I wonder if they would try to get him into the company, if he ever wanted to work there

Beth only got a push because the WWE wanted to make CM Punk happy.

Vladimir Kozlov is a surprise to me. Thought other WWE wrestlers would have been let go before him.

Glad Melina and Masters are gone.

TNA can't even push the young guys they have now with the old useless farts who can't work anymore taking up TV time. Smith's career would die a slow death.

The one young guy TNA is pushing hard, Crimson, is complete garbage.

So you mean it would be exactly the same as Smiths WWE career...just less money?

They've been pushing Gunner hard as well. Robert Roode has been someone the company has been setting up for a big singles push as well.

Although I don't like the fact Crimsonis the guy they've chosen to push to the top and give the BFG main event, but you cannot hate on them for trying and giving someone new a chance.

The only old fart who cannot work that has been taking time up on tv has been Hogan and EB.

TNA has been no worse at pushing their talents than WWE has. WWE has just recently started to make strides with Punk and that's it.

Would you put up with the same crap for less money?

Crap storylines? No...but theres much more to WWE's crap than that. Guess you didn't read the story of the creative team/agents meeting in WWE where everyone covered their a** and trashed talked Punk until HBK spoke up. Never heard of ANY crap that bad coming out of TNA. The cult attitude WWE breeds isn't worth ANY money to me.

The break up of the Hart Dynasty is one of the stupidest moves I've ever seen. Made absolutely no sense and WWE doesn't even understand why tag team break ups used to work sometimes. No wonder midcard guys like Smith are going.

Plus if Smith went to TNA as a tag team with Kidd...he'd probably get treated far better. But I don't think he should go there at all.

Sucks they never used Gail to her potential.

WWE doesn't seem to know what to do with female talent that can actually wrestle; they either keep them off TV, or turn them heel.

Case and point: anyone with a brain would probably say "Hey, let's do a Natalya/Phoenix feud, because then we could actually have an honest to god wrestling match between divas who have personalities!"

But no, better to turn them heel and put them in the ring with Kelly Kelly.
