With Ant-Man confirmed back, I wonder what role he will play.

I assume he may be Pro-Reg because he doesn't want to go back to jail.

Some rumours:

Rumour is the Ant-man post credits scene will be General Ross recruiting Pym to the pro-reg side.

Black Widow is supposed to be arrested and Lang will be the one to break her out. So he's anti-reg. Speculation is that the negative zone in the comics will be replaced with a miniature prison designed by Pym, so Lang will be the perfect guy to organise a break out. But that bit is just speculation.

Giant Man is rumoured to appear. Not sure if that's supposed to be Pym or Lang. Or both.

I'm glad Ant-Man is coming back. I was thinking that he might disappear from our screens after this summer and the film might be swept under the carpet, especially since no sequels had been announced.

Supposedly Ant-Man is pro-reg, at least according to JoBlo. That makes sense to me - he did just get out of prison, plus his whole arc involves becoming a hero in the eyes of his daughter - he wouldn't suddenly just choose to become a criminal again.

Perhaps he breaks Widow out of prison once the two sides decide they have to work together, or perhaps he swaps sides? Maybe he breaks her out to recruit her? Who knows!

Interesting to see no Evangeline Lily. Guess she won't become Wasp until Infinity War - although I have a feeling it may not be until even later.

Always wanted him to be a part of Civil War, his future in MCU after Ant-Man had never been mentioned, while it is almost certain he will take part in Both parts of Infinity War, it is nice to see they are mixing him with the rest of the Avengers before the end game. If Ant-Man doesn’t become giant man in his film, I’m pretty sure he will in Civil War. I also think Evangeline Lilly has a pretty good chance to show up, as Wasp even.

Scott is going to be tied to Hope, who probably supports her father's position. It seems like in Ant-Man that [blackout]Pym is likely to die[/blackout] so Scott probably owe's alot to him for his freedom.

There was rumor of a Falcon cameo so I think the post-credit for Ant-Man will have Lang being offered Avengers membership.

Which makes sense since his abilities would be unique among the new team.

Plus, this new team should have a Hulk replacement and Giant Man can be that with his strength.
