The "humour" in both Nolan films absolutely sucks.
"Nice coat"
Agreed
"At least tell me what it looks like" - "Nevermind"
This line could have worked just fine if they didn't have the guy sound like a chump. Imagine that line being said by Bullock from the animated series with his attitude coming through. I think it would have been fine not used as comedy but as the cop being frustrated.
"A black...tank!"
Yeah this was a bit cheesy.
"I'm not wearing hockey pads"
I didn't have a problem with this one. I know people will take it in different ways/meanings but for me it didn't come off as comedy but as Batman being assertive in telling the copycat that he's a dumbass and not to mess with what he's trying to do.
"Is that a panic room?"
I think it was "thank god, you have a panic room". Could be wrong but either way, yeah it was fairly lame.
"Let's not do that again"
Agreed, too cliche.
"Oh, that's not good!"
Gordon should have sucker punched that annoying SOB. Honestly, what kind of riot police man/SWAT member would talk like that.
Not to mention the terrible visual "humour".
Close up of man drinking coffee and showing his reaction - in BB and in TDK
Didn't bother me but yeah it took away from the scene a bit. If they got rid of the part of him looking at the cup as if he's thinking he drank something that's making him see things it would have been ok. Having him just look on like WTF just happened.
Man adjusts mirror - Batman swipes it off
Kids shooting imaginary guns in backseat of car
Both of these I agree were not needed at all really.
Just terrible. Takes you out of the film and breaks the atmosphere. Just doesnt need to be there, at all.
