Hey guys, in what way(s) do you think that TDK improved upon BB? Of course you could simply say "I like the story better", but how about a little more specific? The biggest thing for me, which I was really hoping they would do but I wasn't holding my breath for was the fight scenes. In TDK, when Batman as fighting, you could actually follow what was going on in the fight scenes and appreciate the choreography.

it had proper villains with proper villain themes instead of a typecast, world cleansing villain.

it was also less loved oriented around rachel. she had less of that generic superhero girlfriend role

Nolan "pulling the camera back", showing more of the fighting and Gotham, that and Gotham's overall look.

The writing and dialogue.

None of those annoying Goyerisms. There were some annoying lines and some bad acting from the SWAT guy in the passenger's seat with Gordon, but that wasn't nearly as bad as some of the one liners in Begins. Also, no FEAR FEAR FEAR FEAR FEAR FEAR like in Begins.

Pretty much everything was better for me. The acting, the writing, the action, the villains, Rachel, Gordon had a bigger and better role etc. It was all good.

The two things that stand out the most are the script/dialogue itself and the pacing. Begins was a little heavy-handed at times with it's messages. TDK largely managed to escape that. That might have even helped with the movie's flow, because that last 2 hours or so just flies by.

Replacing Katie Holmes. (YES I WENT THERE)

The fighting/camera-editing of it without a doubt.

Bale was alot more relaxed as Bruce Wayne too, I could definitely see that.

-better captured fight scenes
-better control over the corny dialog...("ive got to get me one of those" and constant cop banter damn near ruins the tumbler chase in begins)
-soundtrack/score not that begins was bad....just dark knight built upon it real well.

everything else is just a matter of the films being presented differently...yes having joker was great, but the hierarchy of villany in Batman Begins was also real good.

The writing overall (dialogue, plot, sequencing) was stronger.

The dialogue was much better. The action was bigger and you could actually see what was going on most of the time. And last but not least...how can you go wrong with The Joker and Two Face?

Definitely the fighting, although I feel like it made sense to a certain extent because of the point of view of the criminals in BB. That being said, I still feel like these two movies are the first sequels that actually work being completely different from one another.

To me, BB is the best superhero movie ever, TDK is one of the best crime dramas ever, thats the only way I can categorize it because TDK feels nothing like a superhero movie at all, which is it's greatest strength. BB does, at least in the second half, feel like a superhero movie, but it's done at the highest level possible, now if we can only get a perfect mix of the two for number three......

FIGHT SCENES FIGHT SCENES FIGHT SCENES!!! :brucebat:

You could actually SEE the awesomeness of the Batman fighting with people! :D I loved seeing it!! (although disappointed he didn't really have a one on one fight with the Joker or Two-Face [kinda got his ass beaten by Joker at the end and didn't fight back for some reason..stupid sonar thing got in the way] really kick anyone...be cool to see Batman do a side kick or a roundhouse :() ...wait...LoL this was IMPROVEMENTS sorry ;)

Yeah, overall a beautiful acted, paced and action packed comic book movie...loved it!

Loved how Batman and Joker had that wicked showdown at the climax as well as the showdown with Two-Face that was awesome...(again wished he had a brawl with both villains or at least one..more in depth brawl)

Loved how weapons were used in this movie--the beginning where the goons where shooting machine guns at the Tumbler, Joker using his bazooka and hand machine gun and shotgun that was really cool.

I'm quite the action junkie so I was pleased with the amount of action in the flick.
