I don't know what to think of Whoopi. She defended Bill for too long but she came around to seeing the truth of what happened after getting enough information to see it for herself. A lot of people didn't immediately believe he was a rapist but over time, the more you see, the more information you get, the more people came around to accepting it happened. Some people just wanted or needed a higher burden of proof because it seems so outrageous and unbelievable.

Is it wrong to denounce her now, after she has admitted he raped those women? If there is more to it then that changes things. I have heard her say some wild things in the past unrelated to Cosby.

John Oliver did a pretty funny edit of all the messed up stuff Whoopi has defended over the years.

She has a habit of jumping to the defence of shady people and incidents.

It is one thing to say you don't have enough facts to form an opinion but it is another to actively defend stuff under hypocritical pretences

My prediction is that Bill Cosby will have a tell all interview in about 2-3 years. Clearly, he is guilty, but I predict that some D.A. will find a way to charge him with a crime. Isn't drugging and raping women violating their civil rights or something?

Cosby will never do a tell all interview because he wouldn't risk opening himself up to possible prosecution of civil suits.

If he confessed he would be even more vilified than he already is. As things stand now he still has some defenders left which he would surely loose if he every admitted culpability.

Yeesh I'm tired. Despite knowing about and reading a good chunk of the thread over the last few weeks I thought it said 'Bill Cosby is a racist' when I read it today.

Anywho, I'm still kind of sad about this because I used to be a big fan of his for a very long time. What a ****ing letdown.

I don't know much about the rape stories, but back in the late 90's I read a story about a woman who sued Bill, claiming he was her father. He denied it, but he refused to do a blood test.

I always thought that came across as shady.

See that's my issue. Goldberg isn't a "wait and see" and I mind my own business woman, she takes things a 100 steps further and just excuses bad behavior because the bad person is a Hollywood type. How can one continue to like and respect a person like that? I know I can't.
