An old lady walking her dog? Because he certainly isn't going to get much of a swing off a building

haha. one thing ya gotta remember about venom, he doesnt web sling with style and grace like spiderman.....its more violent and ugly lookin, ya know. at least that how i always visioned it. like an animal just going crazy.

so in this pic, vision him just jumping off of cars slinging around low enough to scare people, but not hurt anyone.

so i went back and changed venom a little bit before the deadline, have a look, i dimmed down the back ground just a little, and instead of a shadow i added an outer glow, seems to blend a little better

got various things going on, finishing things, starting things... did this for a buddy of mine and its also on the list of characters i wanna draw to make a , some what, scrap-book of my drawings and style

i like the deadpool and i'd like to see other characters that you do in that style.

Hey iambilly81, I've got an Illustrator question. I don't know if you've ever used freehand, but basically there's an option called 'paste inside' which allows you to cut then paste an image within a shape, now I was just wondering if there was a similar technique in Illustrator?

Clipping mask. If you put the shape on top of the image, and then select both, and then hit apple+7 or through the menu its object>clippingmask>make.
(I know you asked Billy, but I thought I would help out.)

Thanks anyway Odin. It's a pain in the ass cause at home I use Illustrator but at college I use Freehand.

haha, yeah, glad you got the answer faster then i could give it. and glad you guys like bettis and some other stuff. and as far as drawling more in that "style" me and a friend made a list of characters he and i would like me to do. so between things i draw them. next up i think im gonna do nightcrawler, but i got a good idea for venom though, bah.

billy do you use illustrator? how long do your pics take you (if you sat down solidly) as i have done similar things in photoshop and wonder if illutrator would be quicker

yeah, i mostly use illustrator. and i honestlydont know time period it takes, i think that bettis one all togeather probly took around 5-6 hours. not really sure since i dont just sit n get it done. maybe ill time the next one i do. just to see. and as far as quicker, who knows i like the look of illustrator more then using short cuts in photoshop to get the same look. so i would have to say illustrator is more time consuming.

this is my attempt at something similar (hese an english soccer player) took me 4 hours or so in photoshop using just the polygonal lasso
