ok, so i didnt win mays xmen contest and i got to admit im a little bitter. seems like its the same 3 people always winning. and i didnt even get in the top 5 favs... i guess it wasnt up to par or the contest is just played for favorites.

anyway, i guess ill give this months contest a try, got an idea for it. and i got another idea tonight that ill post the first part of it soon to get you wanting more. haha. its gonna be a big piece so it might take some time, but im really into it so who knows. ill post updates soon.

i drew this up the other day. changed the design a little bit. but i like it. i got the omega insignia tattooed on his forehead and stupid redneck tattoos all over his arms and what not. would probly do more detail with them later down the line. long ratty redneck hair and wife beater, even added the fumanchoo-stash. and an over sized belt buckle with the american flag.

any design tips would be awesome and or ideas. i might do a extreamly dirty version with a beer gut and stuff

I like it. Is it me, or does he looks a bit like Hulk Hogan? Anyways, it's a really good take on an Omega Red redesign, I really do like it.

As for ideas, I'd suggest more tatoos, probably on the lower arms. I can kinda see him having a big American flag tatooed on his upper arm.

Don't be bitter. I know how you feel, up until this month I'd never gotten a mention in one of the contests. Also, the five people Excelsior mentions other than the winners are just his favorites, not the 4th-8th place finishers. I'd be willing to bet you were in the top ten, you did a great job

yeah, its nothing against the people that one at all, or even excelsior, its just seems its the same hand full of people always at the top. and after you put so much tought and time into somethin that people seem to dig and you dont even get a mention, it stings a little, but oh well right. youdid an awesome job and deserve to be were you got placed. maybe this month youll get higher placing.

I know exactly how you feel. Last month I thought my Ninja Turtles entry was the **** (I spent way longer on that than I have on anything for these contests) and not getting a mention pissed the hell out of me. Maybe next month is your month

ok, one side thing im gonna be doing probly all summer long is a project i thought of the other night that i started. its in its early stages, but im gonna do this big thing showing all of wolverines costumes. same pose but all the different looks wolverine had threw his run so far. from his first apperence fighting the hulk, to his look in the movies. all costumes will be acounted for. so i figured ill show progress as it comes along. ive drawn out so far 6 of the looks, and started coloring two. here is the two i am currently working on in the drawn pencil stage

and classic brown and tan

i will be coloring them in a style i havent really shown on here ive been fooling around with, looks pritty cool. ill be posting each colored piece when done, and maybe the drawn versions when put into my computer. all depending on what you guys wanna see. but im lookin forward to this huge project and it is a nice break from my usual stuff i gotta do to try n make money.

im also working on somethin for the superman contest. but it wont e done for a while also. but who knows.

all the artwork i have seen of that subject, wolverine just looks like stardard wolverine. i already have planned the older wolverine with the gray on the sides of his hair. but thats all i can think of regarding this.

extreamly understandable. i did somethings a little different then i usually do, not alot of black except for the border and what is black on the uniform.

is it the over all design or color work you dont like. feel free to rip it a new one, and granted its the first one of many so i can always go back n change things. thanks for the honesty.

I'd say it's a bit too chunky, with the black. The black kinda cancels out the rest of the picture in a way.

i agree with that. way too thick of black lines. but i still like the concept.

yeah, for the most part. except for feral wolverine. i wanted them to be similar and be able to have them all just lined up or you can do a jpeg of them just flashing threw all the different looks. and trust me... the list is long of all the different uniforms.
