Talk about the short lived/cancelled show here. I thought it was pretty good, and was hoping that eventually Batman would return.

I think if Batman had returned, he probably wouldn't have been apart of the show.

But it could have given some closure, or he could be off and on, like he comes in every 2-3 epsidoes, trying to have a relationship with his daughter.

Well once Smallville is finished and The Dark Knight has been released hopefully WB will do a Gotham Central show.

My problem with the show was;
Huntress was the daughter of Selina kyle and Buce Wayne
Black Canary wassent Black Canary
Oracle was Camp as hell!
Harley Quinn was just weak

Yes she was. I liked that Huntress was the daughter, but I didn't like that Bruce never tried to have a relationship with her, he just disappeared.

They chould have done the show alot better just by making Huntress Helena Bertinelli.. MUTCH better strory..

The show had a lot of potential, but there were a lot of things that could have been done better, Black Canary could have been a better actress. Huntress needed a mask.

The outfit she wore in the pilot worked better than the biker outfit+great coat they had her in for the rest of the series.

Dina Meyer was born for Batgirl/Oracle. I hope they find some way to incorporate her into the new movie.

Dina Meyer is a talented actress. Ashley Scot and that blonde bozo that played Canary jr. aren't. So ofcourse she would shine.

Also there is no way she could be incorporated into the new movies. She's 6 years older than Christian Bale you know. So she's 15-20 years too old for Batgirl next to Batman. How rediculous is it to have a 40 yearold Batgirl next to a 34 yearold Batman.

it might have been good except they were stuck with the wb's "no flights no tights"mantra [man iHATE that] costumed superheroes should wear thier costumes if you want plainclothes superheroes make them like the six million dollar man or jake2.0[undercover agents with superpowers]

Truth. I mean for SV it works because it's the origin of the first superhero. But in BoP you already had superheros so it makes no sense. But considring BoP obvious budget "no flight, no tights" wa a cost cutting measure rather than a narrative decision.

Dina Meyer could play a love interest in a sequel. Not Batgirl. Maybe she could be Catwoman.

its a shame that we wont be seeing another BOP live action show after this. If they made it more like the show it could actually work and not get bad ratings.

Too bad they can't make a movie series out of it, or could they? Its not like the comic book movies follow Pre-crisis and post crisis and what not. SR, Smallville, etc.

Lets face it .. they didnt have a hard task when they started to work on the show..
but they still got almost everything wrong..
the worst part is that they got Black Canary all wrong..
Dinah lance had the wrong powers, her mother was Black Canary, but she wassent Dinah Drake Lance.. she was Carolyn Lance.. a name that has NEVER been in the DC univers, But she did have the Canary Cry... soooo if Dinah Laura Lance changed her name and had a daughter and named her Dinah ... then Dinah Lance in BoP might have been Black Canary III... but eho is her father? Green Arrow? :P
and the show had Huntress "in charge" in a way under Oracle..
but Black Canary is the leader after Oracle.. Huntress is "just" a member

Thus why the show failed, helped by the very bad writing.

And they made Catwoman a meta and they made Huntress a meta...and her going all cat eyed did not help the charecter.

But atleast TheWB let them air a proper finale to the show.

in shure that Dinah in the show was third gen Canary...
just for some reson saw the episode "sins of the mother" .. and "Carolyn" aka Black Canary mention that she was tortured.. just like Dinah Laura Lance (Black Canary II)

that kinda brings a new level to the show... still sucks.. but hey.. awnsers a few questions about dinah

They weren't allowed to have the daughter and or mother the actual Black Canary. Huntress eyes were messed up 2. They could have done alot of things better, and then the show could have pospered.

in the episode"sins of the mother" "Carolyn" Lance is calld Black Canary like 20 times, the episode is even calld Black Canary in some places..
but still sucks..

this i a show that proves that you can't just slap batman onto somthing and people will watch it.

they tryed to use the smallville method of useing pre/post crisis superman. and they works fine for superman, but not for batman, you can't combine camp and dark, they are like oil and water they just don't mix.

i would have used the versions from JLU For Huntress and Black Canary. and if the show went on long enough you could have gotten Green Arrow, and the Question seeing as he worked so well off of Huntress in JLU.
