Black Panther Fan Casting

Then I wonder if Ramonda has been cast yet? Because from the looks of it it looks like T'Chaka has been cast

I don't think it well help or hurt the franchise moving forward. It's just unfortunate because a lot of people loved the idea of the couple. Every year you see black couples cosplaying as T'Challa and Storm.

If it hurts anyone it's Storm. That character is NEVER going to be treated properly in the X-Men films. Even in the comics she's stuck in the X-men which honestly looks like a sinking ship. They tried to give her a solo series but it bombed.

I assume if they give T'Challa a love interest in the movies they'll go with Monica Lynne. I've long thought it'd be a good idea to cast Nicole Beharie ( from sleepy Hollow) in the role. Beharie and Boseman worked together in "42" and showed they had great on screen chemistry
I must say it will be missing something for me as I always wanted them as the power couple in the MCU. No one else really fits that bill. Their is no other royalty to counterbalance his.
Storm honestly looks to be getting a far better treatment in the next film than any other.

But definitely Peter Mensah should play T'Challa but if he isn't cast as T'Challa then I can see him as S'yan too but I am sure they will probably cast Ernie Hudson as T'Challa because it has been heavily rumored by Marvel and not to mention Ernie Hudson I think he would be great as Chadwick's father

I've always preferred Mensah as S'yan because in my ideal BP film, the trial of ritual combat between T'Challa and S'yan would be a major action scene, after which his uncle would fall back and be a trusted and valued advisor.

Mensah has the acting chops to do the latter and is great at action to do the former.

Darn. Well now that we know T'Chaka was already cast, he would be a good choice of S'yan too.

Peter Mensah or even Djimon Hounsou for S'yan

M'Baku I would go with Robert Wisdom

Just going to toss about a few castings:

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the cast from Beasts of No Nation is in Black Panther.

Zuri- David Oyelowo
Hunter- Kevin McKidd
Ramonda- Angela Bassett
M'Baku- Kevin Grevioux
Erik Killmonger- Eamonn Walker

Too small of a role for Denzel.

Too small of a role for Denzel.

T'Challa will need a mentor, and Zuri seems like the best fit. If they could get Redford, John C. Rielly and others for smaller roles, surely Denzel would be down for a recurring supporting character?

And at the same time...too big of a role, heh heh. I know movies don't follow the comics but I think Zuri should be a huge guy just like in the comics. Michael Clarke Duncan would've been a no-brainer, R.I.P.

He would only do it if it was recurring.

The only supporting characters Denzel has played in the last couple of decades were in the two movies he directed. I wouldn't hold my breath on him suddenly doing this.

Denzel as Zuri would be an incredible waste imho. If you can get him to join the MCU, he should be Blue Marvel. A legit superhero. Redford is out of the blockbuster headlining phase of his career; That's not an apples-to-apples comparison.

Denzel hasn't done a true ensemble in forever, he's a lead or co-lead. And he's never played the kind of supporting player Zuri should be. I mean, would that character even have 30 lines of dialogue? C'mon.

It's just not a realistic get, imho.

TLDR: +1 w Dr. Evil. Too small a part for him.

Damn, now I can't unsee Denzel as Blue Marvel.

Instead of Denzel for Zuri, how about Denzel for Moses Mangum? It could be where Claw is working for him (because it's Denzel).

That is why I suggested David Oyelowo as Zuri

Boris Kodjoe is perfect for Kiber The Cruel
