Winona Ryder suffers from social anxiety as well.

Amanda Seyfried suffers from anxiety, including stage fright and OCD. That's why she pushed herself to do her first live stage performance, 'The Way We Get By'.

I've only seen the DC and FC.

Director's Cut is my favorite. Once you see the FC you will probably prefer that one, just like everyone else :O

YOU DON'T KNOW ME!!!!!

I'm haven't sought out the other versions all these years because I'm very content with the DC, plus I've never been clear about what's so different in all these versions outside of the VO and unicorn dream.

The Final Cut is beautiful. It was cleaned up to the point where it looks like a modern day movie. it's surreal.

Also, unlike Lucas, it improves some of the VFX subtly. Like the shot of the pigeon flying away from Roy Batty's body was redone; in the original there was a weird continuity error where cuts to a bird flying flying away against a blue sky, despite it taking place during a stormy night.

Maybe I'll finally five it a crack closer to 2049's release. I'm also waiting until then to crack open a very well reviewed 'Making of' book for the original.

The FC just tightens down the DC. It's pretty much the same, but it fixes some of the technical errors some shots with wires showing on the Spinners etc. Like the shot of the dove that flies away from Batty at the end, and it fixes Zhora's death scene. It is just a much tighter version of it. The FC is my preferred cut. I grew up with the theatrical and the DC, but the FC is truly Scott's final vision.

Looking great, I have to say I'm pretty disappointed with what I'm seeing in the costume design dept though. Especially knowing the original designer Michael Kaplan is still working. The original had a great mixture of time periods and futurism mixed together...so far this looks way too current for me. It just feels off.

My theory is that perhaps:

"Deckard" in the first film was a replicant. But this Deckard is the real one that they based said copy off of? Which might play into why he seems to be in hiding now.

That'd be interesting.
He definitely knows something and maybe found out whatever K does before this movie. Maybe that means they'll address if he is a replicant or not,
but we'll see.

I think that might be the case. I do like the case that [BLACKOUT]someone like Leto has found a way for the Replicants to reproduce.[/BLACKOUT]

Hence
But I could only make so many?

That makes sense. And would lean into the most people are now replicant idea. Villenueve mentioned the world has lost its memory. They've become even more advanced. So advanced they don't even know where they come from or know they're replicants, which takes it further than the first film, except with the possibility of Deckard being one.
I think they could be taking that hint of Deckard at the end and making that a huge part of this plot.

Maybe the irony is that Replicants are now hunting humans?? Another reason why Deckard is in hiding?

Drew McWeeny, who apparently know the plot of this movie says, this trailer appears to be hiding the big secret in plain view.
I'm guessing this is the replicant idea.

And I think Robert DeNiro, but can't remember.

I have had the pleasure of meeting DeNiro several times. He is very nice, but incredibly socially awkward. People could take it as being rude, but he's just shy.

The only time he remotely came off as the brash DeNiro on screen, he was doing a little fun trash talking about the NY Giants on TV at the bar.

This is a very common thing among actors.

There was a Blade Runner sequel novel where the Sean Young replicant dies, and her original human template who actually exists replaces her and goes off with Deckard at the end.

OK that was funny. This is why we need the Red Letter Media guys. They only answer to themselves and they are funny. Nothing is sacred to them.

IMHO we need commentators who will have a check and balance voice on the industry who aren't afraid of not buying into the hype. And they aren't just guys trashing stuff with a keyboard. They create genuinely funny content.

I don't think they'll answer whether or not Deckard in this is a replicant. I think they (he and officer k) will be found, pursued and in imminent danger resulting in the questions going unanswered. If Deckard dies and gosling ends up in a cell like the cinemacon footage suggests (not the footage from the first day), then there's one way of preserving the mystery.

Yeah, I love them. They're my reality check. One of. And funny as Hell. Even though they triggered me a few times in the past.

Finally got around to watching the trailer. I think it looks great. It's nice seeing non Joker Leto again :funny:

Even if you don't entirely agree with them. Plus, they're self aware and when you don't agree with them, you understand where they're coming from. Like any good critic.

I disagree with them about Gosling, but that doesn't mean I didn't laugh at this. I definitely did.

I totally agree. Yes, I disagree with a lot of their views on film frequently, but they are still funny with these videos.

Like just for example, I thought the review of Force Awakens was a little fumbly and clumsy in its execution and I didn't agree with all of it, but I think those guys are still clever and very good at what they do.

But nowadays with everyone trying to monetize the geek and nostalgia world, it sort of becomes an echo chamber. And it's just incessant hype, sponsorship, etc.

And at least their criticisms are generally well thought out even though I don't always agree with them.

That was a pretty funny video. Gosling...does seem like he is channeling his Drive character a little bit, a very emotionally reserved and stoic character. I'm hoping there's much more to him than what they've shown in the trailers. thus far.

I've seen a lot of people complaining about how it doesn't look as overcrowded and sparse compared to the first movie but that is because most of the humans have probably gone to the off world colonies.

Which is actually restoring something from the original book.

If they can manage to tell a great sequel without telling us if Deckard is a replicant or not, I will count this film as a HUGE SUCCESS because it will leave one of the reasons many were afraid of a sequel untouched.
