Oh baby I can't wait!!!

Amazing what taking out a single aspect, the rain, can do in altering and distinguishing the films. Dry Blade Runner.

Rain is still there in the final shot. Wet umbrellas?

A lot of people on the internet are saying that [BLACKOUT]this proves Deckard ain't a replicant.
[/BLACKOUT]
But does it? [BLACKOUT]Wasn't Deckard a new version of Nexus? He could've been gifted with long life.[/BLACKOUT]

They age, don't they?

This is so gorgeous I almost don't need to add any filters while making gifs

It doesn't. Tyrell strives for "more human than human", so it's a legitimate explanation.

I hope I enjoy it better than the first.

All right, I'm gonna watch this for a 3rd time now. I didn't like it the first two times but maybe 3trd time's the charm. ;)

Rain or no rain, you can clearly feel the importance of the Vangelis' score. Even after 34 years it still holds up. He really nailed the mood of that world.

Vangelis' sound was essential part of the film and I completely understand why they decided to expand on it. Those Greek composers... Vangelis and Poledouris.

Loved everything except the CGI steam in the first shot.

Does Officer K not have a Spinner? (And they're still around - you can still one in a shot).

BTW, have you noticed that Blade Runner has never had any merch? Not a lot of books on it either on the production art, etc.

Denis Villeneuve wasn't kidding when he said the Earth's climate is going to be even more messed up in 2049 than it was in the original.

Dat Roger Deakins cinematography

Deakins always delivers :woot:

Ridley has made it pretty clear that Deckard was a different model than the other Replicants, which would explain his longer lifespan. He said people who don't get that Deckard is a Replicant are morons(his words, not mine).

I mean, Ridley has been involved with the development of this film from the start. There's no reason to think he would somehow go back on what he's been saying about Deckard being a replicant all this time. Also, the Replicants are not robots. They do age. I think some of the people you mentioned are simply suffering from a severe case of confirmation bias.
