Blade Runner 2049 - Part 1

They assembled a really nice female cast. Most of them make wonderful replicants.

The pic of Ryan walking in the snow/at the bar looks very cool. I love that the rain has now turned to snow.

Nice pictures, but is Gosling's character really called K? Just K? :hehe: Eh, I guess at least it's pretty easy to remember.

Everything about Bladerunner seems in my wheelhouse, dark, atmospheric, sci-fi noir and an amazing soundtrack but the movie just didn't resonate with me. I think it was just a little too slow paced for me, I don't mind slow paced movies but Ford's charisma was missing in his performance and I think I felt it a lot more because of that. I'm HOPING seeing it a third time and really sitting down letting myself get sucked into it I'll be able to appreciate it more.
Well, if those are your issues with the movie then I'm not sure watching the Final Cut is going to change much.

Ford isn't playing Deckard in this. He is just Ford. Off of his lawn to the set.

Well, I'll give it a shot anyway, who knows, maybe something will click the third time. :)

I wonder who Robin Wright is playing? Replicant as well, or human? Also I'm like 98% sure that Dave Bautista is playing a replicant as well. He's just perfect for that kind of role.

I never expected it to be anything but R but that's nice!

Harrison's grumpy face on the EW cover gives me life. Love it. :funny:

I laughed when I saw the photos. At least give him his old jacket back. It's freezing.

It's so funny how The Force Awakens went of its way to make Ford look awesome and imposing with the lighting and camera angles. Here, it's him..just waking up. But I guess that works for Blade Runner. It's a miserable but beautiful world.

So what are the odds that they pull a Han Solo and kill Deckard off in this film?

They keep on saying that they want to leave Rick's background ambiguous so it's hard to say.

If he dies, then I think it would create more evidence that he's this or that.

EDIT: Unless he falls into a pit.

I have a theory that the movie will toy around with his humanity, or lack of, but in subtle ways that doesn't explain anything, but raises more questions.

Good chance seeing as Ford is going on his 'Greatest Hits' tour. Next stop Indie. But weather he is a Replicant or not won;t be answered.

I mean replicants can die. So it happened to Deckard doesn't necessary have to answer any questions definitively.

Doesn't really help when Ana has that "Ghost In the shell" black wig that just screams "She's a Robot!"

Maybe she's the person that replaced Eldon Tyrell.
