Did you even watch the first movie? Haha That's what the new breed of replicant that he has a hard time testing is basically just that...a replicant with implanted memories so a fake history/life.

You ain't gonna like this movie if you didn't like the first one.

Are replicants with transplanted human brains a thing? Essentially, providing the consciousness immortality? That would remove the need for humans to procreate and the replicants could take the place of mortal humans that do not have the means to live on in a replicant body.
I could see a war starting over such a scenario.

Not unless they show up in this movie. They aren't in the original.

Gravity and The Martian were original works not aided by fanboy frenzy which is definitely working in favor of BR2049 atm. So (54-55) million stills seems a bit too optimistic to say right nao. Plus the premium 3D ticket pricing helped Gravity a great deal to achieve the best Oct OW ever. But the latest tracking update comes before the embargo was lifted for the full reviews so there's still a solid chance that the good/great reviews will further amplify the pre-release hype and drive up the sales. I'll keep my fingers crossed for the best result.

So glad to read its getting great reviews, cant read them as I would like to know as little as possible going in but its almost too good to be true as you can never tell with these sequels and remakes so long after an original classic but looks like there's something worth seeing here. It's disturbing that this movie has good reviews because critics only like crap. If it really was a great movie it would've had 27% on RT like BvS.

Could be the same as the Wonder Woman situation. Where the argument for a long time was the critics couldn't appreciate a movie like BvS because they only like basic, watered down films. So Wonder Woman being so well received meant it wasn't really good.
