Well, looks like that pic from a Russian distributor about 163 minutes is correct. 152 without end credits, 163 or so with.

I didn't doubt you, it's just that page said that 163 min. isn't final, but estimation in advance.

Also if this takes place in 2036 and this is a new replicant (Nexus 9) then why does his eye say NX-8? Seems like an oversight or something to me. The Nexus 8s were rushed onto the market by the Tyrell corporation and were basically being hunted down at that time.
Yeah, I noticed that too. It’s very likely a mistake.

Some of you may have heard that the original film is being released on UHD 4K next tuesday. According to reviews, WB knocked it out of the park. It was derived from an actual 4K Intermediate. The HDR makes all the neon and lights pop. The shadows and blacks are deep and inky. Detail is fantastic. Grain is accurately and finely presented. No artificial scrubbing.

So if youve got a 4K home setup you should probably add the UHD release of the first film to your collection .

Leto-Wallace looks like he wants his every move or mannerism to be as photogenic as possible. Annoying. Takes me out of the film.

Don't be mad that you are so attracted to him.

It feels like you just described Leto the human being.

He isn't on a photo session. It has nothing to do with convincing acting.

Loved all of these :D

But how can that beeee? How can a four decade old flick be displayed beyond 240p? /s

That short didn't do much for me. Not really sure what it was even supposed to be about. At least Leto seems much better than he was in Suicide Squad. Wonder how the other shorts will turn out.

They're not meant to do anything much beyond fill in what's happened at a certain time post the first movie. It's done for fun really.

Scott's and his nepotism spawn involvement certainly points to this movie not being very good but hopefully it will be

Gotta kickstart the next Scott's career as soon as possible by having him work in classic franchises :sly:

His son has a little to learn about camerawork IMO...something less attention deficit. Even though the length of this movie has been somewhat confirmed (i'm still unsure cause I thought Denis was going to have the cut ready early sept). Still worried some ******** will happen and they'll whittle it down to 2 hours or something. I've seen some serious whiners around twitter and reddit saying the general audience ain't gonna go for it. If interstellar, the hateful eight, LOTR and dozens of other movies can have that length then so can this. If you don't like it then maybe my little pony that same weekend will be more your speed.

I was hoping that we might get the other two short films by Labor Day.
it doesn't look like that is going to happen now.

It wouldn't make sense for them to drop em all so soon, there is still over a month to go. I'm still expecting a couple more tv spots or trailers tbh, I know they aren't done marketing the hell out of this movie yet.

Also I think Ana De Armas caught a screening of it today, based on her live IG image she posted.

Hmmmmm. Guru's definitely talking about actual numbers because Ninjago & Kingsman 2 will be bigger hits w.r.t their budgets. Even then BR2049 will be an interesting watch at the BO for sure. Villeneuve's Arrival opened with 24 million and finished with 100 million (OW X 4.16). It was aided by the late release, which is conducive for Oscar hopefuls and an Oscar re-release. Blade Runner will be more front-loaded due to being a fandom driven established property. I think it'll need to finish over 165 million to steer clear of the Kingsman sequel. So Guru must think BR2049 is opening to at least (47-50) million. Which will be in line with Mad Max Fury Road's OW. So it's very reasonable and a good comp atm.

How much action is in this movie? Is there alot of fist fighting & shooting? Nude **** in this one like the old first movie?

Just one more month.

A month and 2 days...:)

It will probably have more action than the original, with a bit more intensity and people being gunned down. Also a bit more of a chase sequence with the spinners which can detach drones that have heavier weapons. I fully expect to see Ana De Armas nude, and Gosling shirtless at the very least.

Hopefully I can go on opening day but if not the opening weekend.

BLADE RUNNER 2049 is now out a day earlier in the UK, on Thursday, 5 October.
