Blind Riddle: Which Heroes Star Wants Out?
Today 10:32 AM PST by Kristin Dos Santos

Looks like T.R. Knight may be setting a trend.

Sources close to Heroes tell me that one of the show's stars has asked to leave the show at the end of the current season, in part because of a lack of screen time.

According to insiders, NBC has not yet decided whether this actor will be released from his or her contract; however, there is an apparent "death" planned for this season (somewhere in the last few episodes) that could wipe out this character for good.

So who is it?

Well, we can't reveal the actor's name (which is why this is a blind riddle—sorry!) but I can tell you:

1. It's a series regular who's been on since season one.
2. Some of you fans would freak if this actor were to leave.
3. This particular Hero-ic soul has more name recognition than others in the cast.
4. According to Peacock-net insiders, NBC is not likely to release this actor. (See number three.)
5. If this actor does return for season four, there's an easy way to bring him or her back from the planned "death."

Got guesses? Post in the comments...

Unfortunately, I think it's Ali.

She was the only notable star on the show since the beginning and she had been criminally underused this half of the season.

i hope it is her, her character was boring so they killed her off and brought her back to an even duller story line

Either Hiro or Nicki. They did say they were possibly killing off Hiro. But I wouldn't be to bumbed if Nicki left, she's not one of my favorites any ways.

I get the feeling its Milo or Masi. Masi has no powers and I still think the future in Volume 3 will happen. The heroes may make a revolt causing the world to tear apart, and Ando DOES have his powers so...

I honestly wouldnt care if it was Ali. She has adds nothing to the show.

That'll suck if it's Ali. She's a great actress, one of the best with Cristine Rose, as proven by season one, but they have been continually giving her crap to work with since season two.

The more disturbing part about the article is that the actor wants to leave but NBC isnt even thinking about letting them go. That sucks!

Let her go so she can play on a better written TV show! Like True Blood....

::hint hint nudge nudge Alan Ball::

**** Alan Ball.

hmm...Ali is that you? Only actor on the show who doesnt get any screentime.

What if it's Jack Coleman? :wow: Ali is more likely though. I wouldn't be surprised if she wants out. Tracy is a boring character who doesn't even get any screentime. They should have never killed off Niki. Instead Niki should have learned to control her powers and maybe be able to turn into Jessica at will. That would have still given her an edge. Jessica was awesome and hot, so very very hot.

i am thinking it could be milo or masi. I was thinking it could be hayden also, but she gets alot of screentime as it is. I don't think it could be Jack Coleman or Adrian Pasdar, either.

I don't think I would freak out if Ali, Sendhil, and Greg Grunberg left the show.

But can Milo and Masi really get away with their reason for wanting to leave as "a lack of screen time."

Peter has been shoved down our throats since season one and Hiro hasn't had a lack of screen time since season one either. Meaningful storyline yes, lack of screen time - no.

No doubt, it's Ali. Her movie career is starting to pick-up. Why waste time on a show where you're nothing more then a background character used here and there? She has more potential then that.

maybe they don't see much screen time in Volume 4?

i do hope it is Ali. Her characters never really interest me.

It's probably Lyle. Where was he when Claire was dying? Where was he when Sylar came? Huh?

Yah I just can't see Milo complaing, I mean he and Hiro are the show for crying out loud LOL. Look at all the freakin screen time they both got in Volume 3. Like I said before its gotta be Nicki, course really I don't think the fans would be to bummbed if that happened. Kristin is probaly just saying that to freak fans out for time being, its my guess.

I was never attracted to Ali Larter, really. And the show doesn't need her in any real sense. Even her death wouldn't matter, and the easy way to bring her back (whatever third triplet's name is... Barbara or Brenda) is trite and, well... horrid storytelling.

Of course, I could see it being Masi or Milo as well, and that... well... that would be epic. I would enjoy seeing the show change.

ARe you guys serious? It's obviously not Ali Larter. Think about it. The article says it will be someone that we'll freak out about. Did anybody freak out when we thought Larter was kaputsy at the end of season 2? NO. And the writers know that. Also, Kristen's clue: "Hero-ic". It's Masi Oka. Based on the various media of the show, I think there are only an handful of characters the producers of the show KNOW we like : Peter, Sylar, Claire, and HIRO.

But unless Masi just got dosed with a MASSIVE amount of "ego-juice" (he's never seemed to be the type), how can he complain about "lack of screen time?" At times, whole episodes have felt to be the "Hiro and Ando Show." Unless the report is wrong about the screen time issues, or I am wrong about Masi's ego, I doubt that it's Masi.

I don't know, when the show was the "hiro and ando show" at times in season 1, it was well written. CAn we honestly say that about it now? I think Masi might also recognize an downturn in quality. I'm also warming up to the idea of it being Milo who wants out. I know when he's not doing heroes, he also directs little things here and there and is kind of an artsy type of guy and maybe he doesn't want to do this show anymore since it seems kind of directionless and all of late.

I like the show but as much as I didn't like the general storylines in season 2, at least then, it seemed to know where it was going. This year, they seem to just be making things up on the fly.

It doesn't say the person is leaving because of the show's "downturn" it specifically says they want to leave because of lack of screen time. Plus the other clue where it says this person has name recognition beyond Heroes. Masi and Milo barely have any name recognition outside of Heroes.

No one else in this show had any sort of name recognition coming into it except Ali Larter.

I think is Ali. I can't say I would blame her if she left, she was under used, and not an interesting character.

I hope its Ali Larter or Hayden. Those characters are expendable.

My money says Masi or Larter. Masi got screwed in screentime with his ridiculous subplot in the second half of the season and is constantly disconnected from the rest of the plot. Masi on the other hand is becoming more recognizable and did have a role in a pretty big summer comedy (Get Smart) which has a sequel in production, so a movie career is not out of the question for him.

I don't think NBC would object to Larter leaving as she is not really a huge draw and a lot of the fan base dislikes her, where as Masi is pretty much the face of the show alongside Pantierre.

What I find particularly unsettling is that there is an "Easy way to bring her or him back from their death." Sigh...the writers clearly are not learning their lesson. If it is Masi, let him leave. Kill him and let him leave. If they kill Hiro, suddenly everyone is in danger. It would really up the stakes.

Masi has done plenty of other things before Heroes. Him or Ali.

They'll just do the third Triplet if it's Ali. I don't want to see Masi leave, I don't think it's Hayden, only because Both she and Masi had plenty of Screentime. Ali was gone for a couple of episodes and in a few others she was little more than Background Dressing.

But I just can't see why NBC would really be that adamant towards keeping Ali. Especially if she is going to become trouble on the set if they don't grant her request.
