Emmy Winner Comes to Heroes

The hunt is on! (But the casting hunt is over.)

Sources tell me exclusively that Zeljko Ivanek, who just won an Emmy for Damages, will be joining Heroes later this season. He'll appear in a multi-episode arc as a character named the Hunter.

Sounds pretty awesome, no?

When will he appear, and what's this about "hunting"? Well...

According to insiders, the Hunter's first appearance is in episode 14, which kicks off Volume Four: Fugitives. (Heroes creator Tim Kring is writing the Fugitives premiere!)

I'm told that Volume Four will begin in late January or early February 2009, and since it is all about fugitives, the role of the Hunter sounds pretty key, don't you think? Tommy Lee Jones has nothing on this newbie, from what I hear...

Now, which character(s) will be this Hunter's quarry? Post your guesses in the comments!

Sinister villain. I can't see this guy in any other context in Heroes.

So a character named Hunter...who hunts? That's almost as subtle as Hiro.

But seriously, enough of the new characters. They already have more than they know what to do with. And unless the show is planning a major character genocide/cast change ala 24 Season 5, just stop adding characters. Otherwise we will continue to have great characters ultimately wasted because the writers have no clue what to do with them (Adam, anyone?)

I'm thrilled for this. Curious how they got this guy though, did he like the show? Awe well. Its still really cool, I'm sure hey'll do an exellent job on the character. Wonder who hey'll be hunting though. My guess is the big key characters. I have a feeling hey'll be highred by Mr.P to kill the heroes or bring them to him. So I'm assuming the list goes like this;

1. Peter
2. Nathan
3. Matt
4. Hiro
5. Elle
6. Claire

Well yah know. Don't know if Syler will be on the side of Heroes by than or villains.
