Blind Item: Heroes Actor/Actress wants out!

Now it's being reported Hayden wants to leave as well:

We mentioned the other day that a major star wants to leave the cast of Heroes at the season's end. Now we're hearing it's actually two stars - who have reason to complain. Spoilers below...

E! Online's Kristen, who started the "star wants to leave" buzz in the first place, apparently mentioned more details during her TV coverage of the Golden Globes: it's both Hayden Panettiere and Ali Larter. Both stars feel as though their characters have drawn short straws in season three, and they want to be killed off at the end of season four. At least one of them has a "death" in the works for the end of the season, but it may not be permanent. And NBC hasn't decided whether to let them out of their contracts yet.

It's easy to see why Ali Larter would want to bail out of Heroes - she's not even playing the same character she originally brought to the show. And her new character, Traci, hasn't really had much chance to become more than a cipher, beyond a frosty new power and a vague penchant for attaching herself to powerful men. Claire, arguably, has fared slightly better this season, what with all the bonding she's done with her bio-mom. But compared with the toe-snipping, creepy-guy-romancing action in season two, she's been less interesting to watch (and probably to play) this year.

It's jarringly nostalgic to look back at the season-one cast photo above, and realize that a third of those castmembers are gone, and most of the others have been through some pretty major gyrations. Photos by WENN.

So Hayden and Ali leaving, wow. That leaves would leave two ladies in the cast - Daphne and Angela.

Wow so both females want out? This is amazing. None of the guys seem to be complaing LOL. Claire has had tons of screen time, guess she just wants her character to be better. I say Claire gone the better, now we don't have to repeat the Save the cheerleader, save the world storyline sheesh. They can try a different storyline, besides her character is so annoying so yah I say good-bye. Now we can give more screen time to other characters two. For the Fifth Volume they could just push Daphney in the lead and find some other female lead, for the love of mike please don't let her be related to Peter. I want him to find some one nice, maybe they could develope some thing. Just some ideas any ways, hopefully they won't bring Mya back though bleh.

Wait. Didn't Kristin say that her earlier info referred to either Hayden or Ali? That info from io9.com seems to mistakenly think that Kristin said it referred to both of them.

I might be in the minority, but I'd like them to bring back Peter's irish gf. I'd like an little closure on that one.

As for Ali and Hayden, I definitely think Ali should leave. Her character is pointless now. Hayden's still could work but I think they need to fix her up mighty quick for anybody to still care.

Yeah, Ali's character was totally useless in this most recent volume.
And Hayden's acting, especially as a villain/badass type, was laughable. Sorry, pukable.

But I'm not sure how I'd feel about either of them getting killed off at this point.
I mean, the writers really do need to kill someone from Season 1 to gain some credibility and get rid of the feeling of this safety net over EVERY major character...

Writers (and Kring) have only themselves to blame, like the magical blood that brings anyone back from the dead.

They'll just do the third Triplet if it's Ali.

Think about what you said there, for a minute, and consider the fact that it's the actress that wants out, not the character.

I agree. I'm really hoping they can save her character...she used to be a fav of mine.

I wouldn't be surprised if Hayden wants out...she's becoming a hot young starlet, and while not exactly the same career-wise, she's coming down with the Katherine Heigel syndrome: when an actor gets too big, they want out of TV.

HEROES make-up artist Wendy confirmed on her Twitter a couple weeks ago that none of the actors have asked to leave the show, that it was made up by Kristin over at E!.

Either way, everything's eventual...if Hayden's career takes off (or her ego, for that matter), she could want out. Same thing with any of the other actors--I could see it happening with Ali and Milo as well. Maybe Zach Quinto too, except he seems like he would be less diva-y about it.

The one who wants out is unquestionably Hayden Panettiere. Regardless of whatever recognition Larter had before the show started, it's undoubtedly Panettiere who's been the show's breakout star. People who have never watched a single episode of the show are far more likely to know her by name than Greg Grunberg, Jack Coleman, Milo Ventimiglia, Adrian Pasdar and even Masi at this point. She's clearly capitalizing on her growing fame, has several potentially big film roles on her resume, and supposedly she's becoming an on-set diva according to reports. Plus, Masi does not seem like someone who'd be involved in on-set fighting.

I also don't doubt that he breakup with Milo has made things...uncomfortable.

For sure. Isn't she going to be in a couple films too? I can see her becoming too big for TV, or at least believing she is.
