BloodRayne II: Deliverance

Her head looks cut off.

For..."pros" it's not very professional.

I could make something better and make more money than them

ooh...at least this looks more professional than the previous trailer. I've just glanced over it as it was loading.

*watches*

I thought you were talking about the first trailer. I said it was badly edited then you say it has Elektra score in it and I'm like wtf no it doesn't.

Now I know you were talking about this trailer.

It doesn't raise my hopes but the trailer editing etc has improved.

Def. renting it.

Do you have any certain suggestions? Like which one is the best?

Whew...been a while since this was posted...but I've been away from the internets for a bit. Anyway, off the top of my head, my favorite was probably "Dark Soul." IMO it was the best visually, because they played around with "Dark Rayne" introduced in the second game, and she was pretty cool.

And that teaser trailer didn't seem that impressive...at all. But Natassia looks great...and cowboy vampires does sound cool. I'll at least check this out...with average-to-low expectations.

Yeah, I hope the trailer gives us alot more.

Zack Ward Talks Bloodrayne 2

GVK: The film is said to take place in the Old West, what can you tell readers about the plot of the film and playing Billy?

ZW: Plot? There’s a Plot? No one told me there was a plot! Well, you know vampires, always wanting to take over the world and now with the invention of the railroad anything is possible. “Billy the kid” is a 357 year old Transylvanian vampire using the name of the real “Billy the Kid” to draw miscreants and ruffians to his banner so he can turn them into vampires to do his bidding, which is to use the railroad to take over the country and make himself it’s devil King.

GVK: Playing a character based upon an actual historical person must have some challenges that do not come with a non historical character. In what ways did you approach the character and look to bring some of your own personality to Billy?

ZW: Like Van Helsing, Bloodrayne 2 is a reality whole unto itself and therefore no connections to historical events were required. Uwe wanted Billy to be 357 years old, so I asked “where did he come from”. Uwe said, “Transylvania, like all vampires”. So I did my best to borrow Gary Oldman’s accent from “Bram Stroker’s Dracula”.

To me, Transylvania meant ancient royalty and that defined my clothes, hair-length and fighting style.

My friends at Drac studios (dracstudios.com) were kind enough to make me some fantastic teeth, very original. My eyes were hand painted bright green contacts and, once they were in, were hypnotic. When I put that whole package together and walked on set it was a powerful feeling, like being a jungle cat, sleek and strong. I must admit, the ladies treated me differently, as if it was expected that I was a predator and they the prey. Funny, they don’t treat me that way when I’m out of make-up, dammit.

GVK: Would you say you are a bigger fan of Westerns or Horror films and what are some of your favorites in the genres?

ZW: Westerns: Tombstone, The Unforgiven, 7 Samurai, Pale Rider, Once Upon a time in the West, The Good, The bad and the Ugly, Monte Walsh

Horror: Pumpkin Head, Phantom of the Rock Opera, Evil Dead 1,2,3. Black Christmas, Lost Boys, Bram Strokers Dracula, Needful Things, Basket Case, Rosemary’s Baby, Re-animator, The possession of Emily Rose

GVK: I am sure fans are going to love seeing Vampires in the Old west as the dramatic possibilities are endless. What were some of your favorite moments in the film and are there any scenes that stand out for you?

ZW: One of my favorite scenes is when I first come to town and get shot by the sheriff, my arms flying out in a crucifix position as I walk forward and bite him. I’m hoping it’ll look really cool. I liked my death scene except for the fact that all the blood ran down my neck, into my wetsuit, down my back, between my butt cheeks and into my boots. Of course the blood was NOT heated as it’s an Uwe Boll film, even though we shot at 4am in minus 12 degree weather with 80 mph winds whipping around. My favorite part of that was when it ENDED!

GVK: As a follow up, which performers are your favorites and if you could select anyone to be your co-star whom would it be and why?

ZW: I got to work with Chris Coppola again and it was a ball. We play very well off of each other and I’d love to do another comedy with him. He’s very talented and funny.

GVK: With old west technology obviously being inferior to what you had access to as the Postal Dude, did you change your style of film combat in Bloodrayne 2 compared to Postal? Also what can you tell readers about the action sequences of the film and the challenges of taking on Vampires with a Six Shooter?

ZW: Yes, the fighting style was very different. Postal dude was NOT a trained fighter. He was raw and angry and held his gun the way he saw it done on The A-Team. His hand to hand combat style was like a young cage-fighter, brutal but defensive, worried about being hurt so wanting to end it quick. Billy the Kid had been a warrior with a sword and wasn’t afraid of being hurt as he was already undead. So his fighting style was big heavy movements, a bowie knife in each hand, large powerful slashing moves, leaving himself open, unafraid, his teeth extensions of his menace.

The physical language of each characters fighting style was very important in defining their personalities. Each character walked differently, held their head differently, made or avoided eye contact during conversation differently.

The physical movement of a character can express as much if not more than his dialogue. You should know he’s a killer when he enters the room, long before he ever speaks. And if he’s ***** whipped like the Postal Dude, you should see that by the way avoids eye contact. All those things make the moments between the words hold story. I hope I conveyed them in the film.

Cool, thanks.

The last bloodrayne pretty much cemented Kristanna Loken's fate as being sci-fi channel fodder, celebrated only within small, strange cult circles (especially ones consisting of lesbians). I used to want to see her play Samus Aran in the Metroid movie, but now she's pretty much ruined to me so now my eyes are elsewhere.

What amazes me is that Uwe Boll was even able to find an actress who was willing to be in Bloodrayne 2 at all. She obviously needs to fire her agent, seeing as this is the SECOND aweful movie adaptation that no-one wants that she's starring in. Too bad, because she's actually a pretty hot girl (even with that ridiculous purple wig she wore in Dead or Alive).

^The only reason I'll see the film on dvd.

Same for me.

I don't know if she's even worth it... this movie looks abominable. :p

I sometimes wonder if Boll makes his movies bad on purpose.

His first few movies were great. Of course, they were originals. With video game films, it's like he's free to blow his money as he pleases.

Again Darth, you rock with the good stuff. Between Alba Land and here. You've got it met.

Excl: Rayne 2 brutal!

Doctor Uwe Boll contacted me this morning; not to tell me that I'm due for my yearly check-up or that I should quit my day job (i.e. this site) but to reveal that his next opus BLOODRAYNE II DELIVERANCE just flunked at the MPAA when it came too acquiring its R-rating. They dubbed it too brutal; which is good news too me! Add too smutty too that jive and I'm there with cow-bells on!

So what's Boll to do? The smart thing of course; they will cut the flick down for it to get its R-rating; and when the DVD release kicks in, they'll put out both an R-rated and Unrated version. Guess which one I'm seeing! BloodRayne II stars chick in a box Natassia Malthe (as seen via the pics in this story), the ever underrated Michael Pare and Zack Ward and is slated for STD release later this year.

Uh can´t believe another movie is being made

I'm not understanding Darth Elektra's obsession with this movie. I wonder if he's getting paid to hawk it.

Thank God Boll is now a straight to video director, because now he can stop hogging up screens that should be playing better movies. It's just a shame that he had to take a hot chick down with him. Edgar Alan Poe is crying. :(

:yay:

Freestyle Releasing will put Postal in around 500 theaters this September. On Jan 18th 2008, they release In The Name of The King into 2,500 theaters...and Seed is TBA 2008.

Bloodrayne 2 is DTV
Alone in the Dark is DTV
Far Cry...guessing DTV.

Bloodrayne was NC-17 as well, before being cut down to R. Of course, then again, it had some...ugly looking blood and gore effects. :csad:...how the **** do you make gore/blood look fake looking? Ask Boll...who couldn't get a Oscar winner/nominae to act.

From what I've heard Far Cry will be released into theaters.
