I've noticed that Blu-Ray DVD's playing on my Samsung player occasionally puts out a horizontal line of pixels, or a box of pixels.

Is this a problem with the Blu-Ray player or the Blu-Ray DVD itself? All my Blu-Ray DVD's are brand new, as is my player. I only have this problem when I Play a blu-ray DVD, not a regular DVD.

Sounds like it is your player is the problem.

I guess nobody else has had a similar problem? I guess it'll be returned.

What resolution does your tv go to? Try changing the resolution of your tv & player & see if that helps anything. Try a different HDMI cable also.

Its 1080P, and its a brand new HDMI cable, I hope its not bad already.

Just to update, I called Samsung for them to see if they was any fix. They suggested I update the firmware. After updating the firmware, my blu-ray player stopped working altogether. They suggested I send it in for repairs, which they would charge me for shipping. I kindly told them hell no and went back to Best Buy and exchanged it for a new one.

The new one works much better and has the upgraded firmware. The only other problem I have, is that after an hour or so of playback, the sound begins to skip. Anybody know a solution?

Does this same problem happen when you play a regular dvd? It could be a firmware issue or just another faulty player. Exchange it for a different brand of player if possible.

No it works fine on a regular DVD.
